If you wanna start, I'd recommend to do a bit more research on printers before buying. Don't just buy what seems like the "cheapest" cuz the cost is usually from the INK. I bought one of those eco tank ones👌🏻
EcoTanks are amazing, I bought the ET 7750 but they have loads that are way cheaper. The 2650 is a lot more affordable and the print quality is brilliant
A few things! Online Labels I highly recommend buying from their site. If you are within the US it typically arrives in 3-4 days depending on how far you live from FL, their department location. I also recommend buying from them because their prices are CHEAPER than Amazon's, which is intended because they sell through Amazon to reach a wider audience and Amazon then gets a cut :') You can also buy any amount of paper on their site, even one sheet, if you just want to test out the paper type. This is such an interesting video, so I highly enjoyed watching! I pretty much have all the supplies to run a shop myself, but I make stickers as a hobby xD Thanks for the video!
KOOOOOOODOS KOOOOODOS TO YOU PALOMA 🕊 for sharing how you run your business ... there are a lot of bloggers/ you tubers that talk and want audience but when you ask them for tips they usually say they don’t want to share or don’t feel comfortable sharing because they found it on their own. There is plenty of cake for everyone , everyone has their own style and giving a few tips / help or at least where to start is a great help for lots specially when many have lost their jobs during the pandemic of want the extra little income. I'm trying to set up a little sticker shop and I have been so lost through all the process. Seriously, thanks for the advice 💜 there are so many points that I did not think about... I just thought: "welp I wish people can enjoy my creations so I guess I will sell them" 😂 and did not think how important is to set up things... I really feel less lost now, thank you so much for the advice 💜🐝
As an artist myself , you mentioned if you do not want to become a digital illustrator you can get away with a Wacom. WaCom are one of the best to use for illustrators and digital art.
thank you for being so open with what you use! :) i started my etsy sticker shop almost a month ago and YES I've had so many breakdowns with things going wrong, even yesterday was a tough day, but its all a learning process!! the amount of paper and ink I've wasted gives me SO much anxiety omg
I’m really glad you made this video, I’ve been really considering opening a shop for all my hand made crafts and things but I’ve been very nervous and I feel like this video has been super helpful, thank you. 🥰❤️💕
if anyone wants to make stickers you can use lenovo laptop it works just as good and the ipad if also comes with a pen all you have to do is to find an app you can use I use sketchbook!!!! it also might be little expensive from where you are.
Ahh words cannot express how much I love your videos!! UA-cam channels like yours have really encouraged me to have the guts to open my own shop so I just wanted to say thank you!! This was super helpful💕
I've been testing my cricut and printer settings for a whole day and I finally got everything right. I used copy paper to test out everything then I used sheet of sticker paper and reused that same paper. The only thing I wasted was ink, but I can save money on that with HP
can you talk more about your printer settings and what not? your store is an inspiration to me and I also have a cannon pixma, but I am definitely struggling with it :(
Can you make a tutorial on your printer settings and cricut? How not to waste the sticker paper? Ive been doing research abd made my own but I dont understand. Theres so much leftover sticker paper-
thanks for making this video paloma!! i’m curious though, how are you able to manage your business and print those stickers in the school year? do you bring the cricut and printer to ur dorm?
Hi! I run an online shop too! I use an HP photo printer because I can get unlimited ink for $10 or less per month (its based on pages instead of ink levels)! It helps me keep my prices low! Not that I suggest you switching I just wanted to share
Which programme did you use on your laptop before purchasing your iPad? I really want to learn digital art but I want to practice first before spending so much 🙂 x
Thank you for sharing this, super helpful! Loved it. I believe Etsy charge $0.20 per item your listing, forgot how much percent the charge after items sold.
Cellophane bags aren’t actually the plastic, they are derived from natural sources such as wood. They aren’t recyclable but are biodegradable and can be composted. It takes about 10 days to a month when it’s uncoated and 2/3 months when coated. I’ve been looking into a eco friendly packaging and discovered this. There obviously are other eco friendly options but cellophane isn’t bad like plastics.
I just came across your channel and I love your whole vibe 🥺❤️ quick question do you have your art copyrighted? Or can anyone tell me how to go about it?
Hey! Just started watching your videos and I pretty much binged through all of them hahaha! The music you use is so soothing and it just accompanies me while I do my own stuff. Sending love from Singapore, and hoping that you'll start shipping internationally!
I know many people who have had success on etsy but personally I got no sales, but when I started my own shop on squarespace I got more frequent sales. I think it’s because it’s actually not that easy to make it on the search page for etsy
Hi Paloma, have you ever tried using ink refills from Costco for your Canon inkjet printer or do you always buy the Canon brand ink? If you have, have you seen any difference in the print quality? Thanks so much for this video!
i have a question, How much gigabytes did you get with your ipad pro, and can you leave a link on where you get your ink? because i cannot find the correct ink for that printer any where.
This was so helpful thank you! I watched the whole video and didn't see anything mentioned of your handmade pins. That being said, do you use a specific UV light and UV gel that works well? I know there are a lot of brands out there and I was just curious if the UV Gel brands you are using now are good. I feel I am struggling trying to find a nice glossy coating for pins and was curious if you had any tips or recommendations for the gloss coating on pins. Thank you! :)
En México lo más común es ir a una imprenta local en lugar de tener las maquinas tu mismo. En Estados Unidos no hay lugares así? Ya he visto varios videos de este tipo y todos tienen sus maquinas:o
Great video. I'm in the process of getting inventory ready for my sticker shop. I was wondering how much of each product are you making beforehand? Or would recommend for a beginner? I have quite a few designs I'm printing out. And I was thinking of having at least 20 of each product ready to go for when I open my shop, then if things go well I can gage how many of each design to have on hand, and just print as orders come in for other designs.
Hi I really love your color palette you use for your color palettes. And I was wondering if you could link it in the description box or show a clip of it with no filter please! Thank you!!!! Sending Good Vibes 🌈😊😁😊😁😊😄
This was super helpful! Thank you for sharing. I have one question about the cardstock you use for your backing cards-what size do you use? I bought some 110lb for my printer, but the paper is too thick for it 😩 or I need to figure out how to use it in my printer.
heyhey! i just got a ts6220 for sticker printing, but i'm having trouble with the print then cut with the cricut because it isn't printing from the rear tray :( can you explain this? that'd be great!
This is so great !!! I have my own Etsy shop but I only sell printables since I’m hoping I save the money for all the equipment you’ve mentioned, thank you for this videoooo ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️ it helped me out a lot. You’re too kind for this !!!!!! 😭☺️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Hey love 💓 I love love your videos , I always look forward for the next upload lol btw I was wondering where do you get your card stock and art print paper ? 😊
Thanks for the tips! I wanted to start my business for years now and I can't seem to make the pushhhh.. Anyways! One question about the backing stock - is it plain white and you print it full color with your printer? Doesn't it chug ink like crazy? Thanks!
