The Jamaican public should hold them accountable for not knowing that the world relays was a qualifying meet and now our 4x4 men won't get a chance to represent us at the olympics which I'm almost sure Maurice was apart of.
Yes, he knew and most of Sprint Tech Athletes were at the relay.
Jamaica is the only country i see take pleasure in stressing out their athletes and dragging them under . It is plainly obvious that the jaaa has no policy in place to govern the operations of the organization if they are quoting parental upbringing as a rule, no wonder Maurice Wilson is able to practice favoritism. It makes me wonder exactly what is the jaaa doing for the sports of Track and Field other than trying to make their presence known by making life difficult for the athletes who are the reason why they have money in their pocket
If they wanted to discipline him why not do it from the world champs? Why wait a whole year?

Putting policies and codes in place would mean there is a standard they themselves would have to abide by. Which they don't want. They just don't want to be questioned or put into the spotlight.

🇯🇲🇯🇲 The wording of the policy seems definitely outdated but hurriedly put together apparently to meet a deadline certain.
I’m not pretending to know much about this body but I’ve heard them, the recriminations over the years it’s the same depressing love/hate song about opportunities lost, misdirected and the schisms of biases.
Most of us know squat of the incident, except what Tyquendo had revealed in the viral interview.
My only question is, if Tyquendo’s remarks were so defamatory and highly a breach of protocol, why is the issue being address now when there was so much time in the interim?

This is why the inept JAAA'S have escaped accountability for this long. Athletes need to support each other, as in other sports.

Their normalization of unethical treatment towards athletes is deeply concerning. I think the other athlete should stand with Tracy on this... they should protest this as a group if Tracy cant run no one should. If it was a big athlete they wouldn't be doing this

If the other Jamaican athletes dont stand up for this guy and stage a walkout if they dont let him compete, then they are commiting a grave mistake. Today it is Tyquendo, tomorrow who? It sets a wrong precedence. These are professional grown men.....not high school kids. Respect goes both ways.
