There may well have been less admissions overall but that was because there were far more serious problems to deal with and not enough staff to deal with it.

I got very sick to the point I couldn't get out of bed, shower, eat...this was for around 21 days & I was not getting better, so I called the hospital & all they were interested in was me getting out of bed to go & get tested for Covid. I told the guy I was speaking to, I couldn't as I was too sick, but he pressed on. I said " so let us get this straight, all you want is a test result to add to the daily count of people you are claiming have Covid & that it's so dangerous, but to go out in public anyway to get a test to prove I have something". He could hear I was sick as I could barely breath & my chest was rattling. I told him, If it was that dangerous, I would be infecting all I meet on the way to get tested, he still wanted me to get tested. I asked him what I should take for my illness & he said paracetamol.🙄 I just ordered some antibiotics from the docs & within 3 days, I had started to improve. I said to my husband under no condition do you take me to the hospital as they will ventilate me & kill me. Can't believe I am saying that but I received a call from a random nurse telling me the hospitals were killing people. On the upside, I lost a stone in weight during my illness. Every cloud! The only virus out there was what they released on us, oh & the mainstream media.

Some nurses did this to try and cheer people up.... like singers in WW2. Did that not happen as well then because some people sang?

Those making the tiktok videos were most likely working in departments of the hospital, such as outpatients, which was quiet during covid. Elective surgery was cancelled, so the surgical wards were quieter. Outpatient appointments were cancelled, so the people you see dancing around probably worked in those areas of the hospital. The ITU's was where all the patients were dying and being admitted, too. Not the surgical wards.
@@william53519 Maybe since they had nothing to do they could have sent them to work in those nightingale pop up hospitals the government set up to deal with the massive amount of COVID patients, only all those hospitals were empty too. Yes I visited 3 different hospitals during “covid” it was empty and chairs stacked up put to one side.
The car parks were empty, there were no outpatients or visitors milling around..inside the wards, out of sight, was a very different story.
N the docs in them said it to me also. Nothing different to what it had been the year prior. The year almost everyone had a bad illness, 2019 to now the time half the world hasn't had anything or seen anything alike since. it peaked in 2018.

My partner was hospitalised with covid.
One afternoon she was having a chat with the nice lady in the next bed, who had decided that when she gets over covid and gets out, she will sell up and go to live with her daughter as she had been asked to for ages.
My partner drifted off for a little nap and was suddenly woken by all the curtains being closed in the ward.
Just like that, the poor lady had died.
Very very sad this is this is very cruel to these people have died of Covid I was a nurse I will be asked to go back to help I’m not qualified to do that so I didn’t go back because I was afraid to get it yourself and die it’s so sad for these peoples families what are they gonna do about it the one I want to help your wheels in a mess isn’t it your wheels in a mess we need God to come down and sort this world out because it’s just it’s just terrible now terrible now we’ve got to cope with the monkey flu nowCookie box that’s bothering me because there’s two types of it won’t kill you won’t can’t one that’s a massive you what’s next God oh God help us all please

You will find that it was elective admissions that were down whereas Acute / Critical care admissions were WAY, WAY, WAY higher than ever before. You will also find that many clinics were also closed down and the staff were redeployed to more acute areas... so what does that tell us??
Basically, if you are going to try and use ONS figures to justify your nonsense, then at least be honest enough to include ALL relevant stats!

I got it two years ago. I have COPD and thought i was going to die. I phoned my GP surgery and asked for Antibiotics, which I got. I'm sure they helped a lot in my recovery but COVID took a toll on my already damaged lungs. There was no way I was going to hospital. I may never have come out alive. The patients were denied early treatments that were suppressed and censored. They were put on ventilators for the purpose of isolating the virus, and caused lung damage.

I was in hospital for 4 months (non covid related)
Derby hospital had 0 rules about masks in corridors. We had a free for all. I spent time with folk from cancer wards, surgery wards, and daycases. Was a jolly ole time. Didn't see or hear about anyone dying of covid. Only thing they stopped was visotors. So i just went off the ward for 3 hours and spent time with my family outside....without a mask or anything. Wasn't once told to slap one on. No waiting in a line to go in the shop.
I didnt believe people outside of the hospital telling me about what your daily lives were like. Mine in hospital was very......normal.
Most of the comments here are deeply offensive. 180,000 people died of Covid. There are not many people I know who themselves don’t know of at least one person who was a victim. My mother was one of the first victims. It is well known that many people working in the hospital wards that dealt with Covid became victims or knew someone who became a victim themselves. Whatever you might feel about how it was dealt with is frankly irrelevant. Too many people have highly selective memories and especially forget about the timeline and treat everything as though it all happened at the same time. I don’t know why that man remained in that hearing - I would have walked out simply because of the heartless callous way that he was treated. People are suggesting he had vested interests - what are they ffs. Small wonder this Country is falling to bits!
I cannot believe the horrendous comments i am reading. This wonderful professor is telling the truth. A friend of mine was working in a small hospital and she is the most upbeat person normally but i saw her collapse into tears saying she didn't know how on earth they could get through it as they didn't have any treatment and patients were just dying like flies. She had been a nurse all her life and experienced some awful things but never anything like what happened at the start of covid before a vaccine was available. Shame on these fools who are now acting like it was just a bad case of flu!
And those poor nurses who couldnt leave their patients even to get some food until suddenly Major Tom's money would be used for new staff rooms & suddenly "itll be great to have somewhere to go, eat & unwind for a while" - no word about seriously ill patients then - just doesnt ring true. I also remember a very senior nurse? say at the start she did not agree with nurses being called "angels" in the press etc she said they were trained professionals & caring for the sick & dying was their profession.
