As if blue dungarees or a dark blue jumpsuit would make you all that much more visible if you fell overboard. The stated reason for the NWU I pattern made sense to me. It was meant to hid paint and grease stains so the the sailor, Chief, or officer could wear the uniform longer without either washing it or getting rid of it because of a paint or grease stain on it. Unfortunately, the Navy was stupid and didn't have them made in a flame resistant material instead, made it from something that lit up like a torch when it caught on fire and would drip and melt too.
My only complaint about your channel is that you don't post videos often enough to satisfy my hunger for them. However, I do get that they are time consuming to produce, and I am sure you are doing your best. Thanks!
Still waiting to see if you ever get your hands on any of the South African police (SAP Pattern 1 and 2, Koevoet, Railway Police) and homeland police (Bophuthatswana "Reed Pattern") surplus...it`s getting very hard to find now as time goes on but I think they`d make a great topic for an upload...
Camouflage for cops in general would be a special I'd watch. In America when they talk about police militarisation they mostly mean riot vehicles and stuff, but my mind goes to the police teams who have switched from blue and black police uniforms to wearing Multicam (or the BDUs seen on ATF agents at Waco for that matter) and looking more like an invading army than people I'm supposed to feel safe with. If I see that in the yard I'd assume my neighbors were Taliban or something not cooking meth lmao.
A bit of a correction here. The Vietnamese UN uniform is actually the arid version of the older K17. Not the newer K20. Just wanted to clarify that.
I've never understood the USN's decision to select a camoflage for sea-going personnel that makes it nearly impossible to spot a man overboard.
It's totally absurd!
@blackpanther5086 did they develop their own or buy them off the USN production line?
It’s is to differentiate USN from other branches

@@Riceball01I’m so glad you said all of that… people seem to forget or not realize that blue coveralls are just as bad in the ocean 😂😂

Do a video on US4CES. That fabric can now actually be obtained by civilians anywhere in the world.
