I like Matty's point of view on phones and stuff like that. I feel like a lot of times people can be super intense and judgmental when it comes to using social media, and I find his point about how the way we validate experiences to be really refreshing and less black-and-white.

My love for matty has grown immensely in the past few months//I mean I've always loved the band, but I've never really invested myself
Last night I went to the 1975 concert in London, it was amazing. Matty spoke to us about how he wanted us to be in the moment and encouraged us to put our phones down for the song and I honestly respect him so much for it. Best night of my life, I'll never forget that moment
he's done that for years :0

A few years back, he was performing Me and basically had a breakdown. It was caught on camera. Everyone was taking pictures and recording and it just got to him. He felt too exposed.

I'm not bashing the musician, I'm expressing my opinion about a guy who said some stupid things in an interview. I like some of their music. But you're right, he has nothing to do with politics. So he shouldn't be opening his mouth about politics if he has nothing useful to say, especially since his teenage fanbase is so impressionable. He didn't even express his views on politics. He just bashed trump and called Michael Obama sexy. Like I said, he either knows nothing about what's actually going on, or he sold his soul and he knows exactly what's going on and what he's doing.
