The music fits very well. But I think it would take away from the attraction for two reasons 1. There's already so much sound to take in. Seekers narration the computer the dinosaurs the meteors the carnotourus chase. The car crunching over branches etc. the ride relies heavily on sound effects to achieve a hyper realistic experience. 2. It is hyperrealistic. Arguably some of the most realistic animatronics anywhere. Plus the plants the fog and the elaborate background set all make it seem like you're actually in a prehistoric forest. And adding music would spoil that effect a little bit. But it's still a really well done video!
Its sort of the issue the JAWS ride had at Universal. The added music took away from the realistic feeling of having your tour boat randomly get attacked by a shark. Take the part where you need to escape the fire and your tour guide goes "I'll get us through this, hang on!" then this really dramatic and thrilling music plays for a slow move through the water and the flames dying down way before you get to them. It was the more corny parts of the ride. Even though this edit with the music is really nice, I feel the same way. Its already way too loud, but also the music would make it less realistic in feeling like you traveled back in time with dinosaurs. Unless Seeker programed in dramatic music to play at certain parts, which would be a very odd quirk to the time traveling cars. At least with the JAWS ride there was a bit of an excuse for the music. One: Its JAWS, the music is iconic, and two: … it was a rather slow ride. I loved it but it did need a bit more of something to make it thrilling. This ride already has lights flashing, darkness, fog, dinosaurs roaring, fast movement. It doesn't really need music on top of that.
I think it kind of takes away from the emersion a little. Dinosaur/ Countdown to Extinction has always been about being on the more realistic and scary side and it achieves this through making you feel like you actually went back in time. Adding music makes it feel less like you are in the age of the dinosaurs and more like you are riding a ride which takes away from the experience a ton.
I'm sort of torn between the two. On the one hand, I agree with what you said about the immersion. But on the other hand, the music does make the ride more intense. I guess it's a pick your poison kind of situation.
This was a great experiment and was produced very well. While I like the soundtrack and thought it fit well, I feel it detracted from the feeling of isolation that makes this ride viscerally remarkable.
I absolutely love the music in it gave it more excitement it did I swear I almost had a heart attack with those meat eaters I do just love it hopefully one day I can go on this ride
My thought on the ride 😁yes a dino 😀ooh a styracasorus 😁 having dinner I see huh aroramus 🤔 what you doing patracar 😁 oo a Raptor 🙄 can you drive dr serker 😐its called a hervovor 😀yass carnitorus get us 😐dr seeker why did u do taht me and teh carnitorus were about to play tag 😀 hi carnotoruis agian 😀I'll be back carnotrous 😐Watch where ur jumping concongnaphis 😁fight the pterodactyl 😀 hi carontorus 😥NOO THE CARNOTORUS 😐k we got teh ignodon 😁Hi again CARNOTORUS 😀we are out of teh crotaisus period but can we go catch teh CARNOTORUS I want to save him to Those are my thoughts on dinosaur I'm 11 and I'm not scared of this ride I wasn't even scared of this ride at 3 or 6 when I first rode it but I just love iiiiiiit
wow I must admit the music does actually make it see more intense. But I could see how it may take way from the realistic element it tries to have, but then again would temple of the forbidden eye work without music and only sound effects?
TheNightmareDistrict Fear is fun nah Indy won't work with out the music because the music is meant to be there and the music is from the movies but it is recreated so it can fit in the whole adventure
The Indiana jones ride isn't going for Such a realistic vibe though. It's more a ride the movie attraction. Dinosaur although named after a movie is its own story. And has a much more realistic tone.
I absolutely love that ride at Walt Disney World but when I got back on it in 2017 during summer, it’s open again since it reopened in November 2016, and its NEWLY refurbished when I got back on it, they changed the red lights that there flickering when the time rover starts to move it’s body and starts to bump me around when I was on it, in the finale when the bright strobe light was removed when the meteorite hits the earth when the carnitorous was right above you, they made it a less lighter, I excautly screamed very loud on that part, try to watch it on my video of that ride that I uploaded since April 2018, but my video of that ride can be pretty in total darkness but I apologize to that, so enough my own video Disney’s Dinosaur at Disney’s Animal Kingdom that has been newly refurbished.
I'm tracking a big Dino on the scope. Could be ours. Computer full stop! Identify!
@Zarquis Yiris Definitely not our Dino. Go go go!

Yeah, I agree. Though, as far as ride audio goes, it needs some serious leveling work. (Seriously, must EVERY sound be ear destroying?)

what you are talking about branches would be that they are colliding with asteroids
This fits perfectly. They should actually do this for the attraction.
They technically do it through the queue but your right I would LOVE it in the ACTUAL ride!
I loved this ride

I think the ride works better without the music (probably because I watched it the way it was many times), but this was still well-made!
This makes it more action packed with the music but it sounds nice though
It sure does!
Was this meant to play in this ride?
Of course not I'm such a dummy that score Is actually from the movie dinosaur X/
I absolutely love the music in it gave it more excitement it did I swear I almost had a heart attack with those meat eaters I do just love it hopefully one day I can go on this ride
Btw the music volume should be lowered a little bit it's kinda loud dubbing over the voice
Oh, hey! Nice to see you comment on one of my videos. I really like your channel! Thanks for watching :)

Perfect
Can you do just the ride audio with the music please
Love this! Great job
Thanks!
You should put other soundtracks other than the meteorite attack like what about the one during the migration or during the Battle of carnotaurus.
wow I must admit the music does actually make it see more intense.

You can barely see the Compsognathus models suspended in the air...
Yeah. Shame the effect was deactivated for so long.
oh wow i love this
Thanks! I'm glad you enjoyed it! :)
That was really intense!
The music does make it a bit more intense at times, doesn't it?
Nice edit!
Quite seamless!
Thank you!
Wow
They don’t do the music anymore
What dino are they looking for
Iguanodon
