Gok Wan MBE, DJ, fashion expert, TV and Radio presenter, and one of the UKs most beloved personalities, pays tribute to his best friend, the late Allison Gordon-Parry by teaming up with the London based collective, House Gospel Choir to release a 2024 Christmas charity single in her memory. Deeper Love (A Tribute To Allison), will be released by In Records on 13 December 2024 with profits going to Macmillan Cancer Support in memory of Allison who lived with Stage 4 cancer for several years but sadly passed away in May 2024.
“This project has been so personal to me, and the House Gospel Choir have done an incredible job in bringing this project to life with their transcending, soulful vocal arrangement, which is filled with love and hope. It was hugely important to me that we were able to bring justice to this track as it was Allison's favourite song and meant so much to her. This track represents her life and the impact she made on everyone around her, and I count myself lucky enough to be one of those people! It has been a pleasure and a total privilege to work on this track with the very talented people involved in creating it - including James Hurr and Adam White to name just a few. This track holds a huge place in our hearts, and serves as a well-deserved tribute to Allison, and all those who loved her. This single is dedicated not just in memory of Ali, but for every person who has been affected by cancer. I hope it will help others on their own journey and raise lots of money for Macmillan Cancer Support.”
