    Yes because the skills you obtain as a Cloud Engineer can branch off into a multitude of roles such as Cloud Security Engineer, DevOps Engineer, Platform Engineer, Systems Administrator, Cloud Architect, Site Reliability Engineer, Infrastructure Engineer, and Network Engineer.

    Cloud engineering skills are certainly worth it but it probably speaks poorly for the economy for the next 6-12 mths to see so many of the Big Tech companies laying off recently.

    No corporation can fully implement AI company-wide without some sort of cloud computing. As we move into using AI to replace current work, that's simply not feasible.

    Yes ... that is because of VMWare being a horrible and now expensive option. Many cloud-phobic companies are now switching to Azure if they have missed out on AWS for virtualization. They need infrastructure and IAM gurus and retraining. Once moving over the rest of the staff will realize how adaquited their skills have become and HR will demand cloud experience for any new hires

      Why would companies miss out on AWS for virtualization and then choose Azure instead?

    • @timgibney5590
      @timgibney5590 5 місяців тому +2

      @@yalvar Because VMWare is very expensive and a PITA to host and manage servers and go thru capex approvals when expansion is needed for new racks.
      Most companies with old men hate hosting stuff on other people's machines and do not know the benefits of SAAS and elasticity. Need SQL Server? Swipe in a credit card and boom! No configurations. Not scalable? Put on elasticity and like magic instances on Azure or AWS appear etc.
      Why pick Azure as well? Because they are already customers with Office 365 and the cost of vmware will push them to accept reality. Once migrated they will love it.
      One platform. One standard. One toolset. One specialization which is integrated.

    Indeed, you are highly regarded as an expert in this field. I have watched numerous videos of yours, and they consistently inspire and motivate me.
    I am currently working towards completing my first AWS certification (Cloud Practitioner), and I have a question regarding the necessity of learning Linux. Is it essential to acquire this knowledge now, or can it be postponed for a later time? Additionally, are there any recommended certifications for Linux that you would suggest?

    • @mariusranga
      @mariusranga 5 місяців тому +2

      learn linux basics as a side dish to your AWS course. Run a dual boot setup or VM setup, make it a task at first, to become a habit as of later to run into Linux for your courses. You'll need to set up a browser, add-ons, some note taking - maybe even set it up on your own NAS, which mostly runs Linux - you're gonna do labs and setups ...to some degree...on your local workstation, all above will get you some basics in Linux. Cheers mate
