I think you’re really going to love The Ninth Rain. That series is quite unique and memorable. Nothing to See Here is wonderfully quirky and heartwarming.
OMG!!!! KUSHIEL’S DART?!?!?! THE BOOK that started my adult LOVE of fantasy in my twenties!!!!! ❤❤❤❤❤. Talk about a slow burn romance! 😮. I hope you love it! I own all of them in hardcover for the bookshelf vibes and in paperback for easy bed reading! 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
I adored Just for the Summer, but it’s definitely one to pick up when you want something more than a light rom-com. Both of the main characters in the book are dealing with some very complicated family dynamics which really impact them.
So excited to see Empire of Silence in here. My favorite sci fi series. Book 1 is a bit slow but the prose is so good and Hobb fans tend to love it. The books only get better.
Kushiel’s Dart!!!! I spent so much of my early 20’s reading Jacqueline Carey! I actually like the Naamah’s kiss a bit more. But Jacqueline Carey and Karen Marie Moning (fever series) are the epitome of “romantasy” for me ❤
So many books I’m going to add to my TBR! I just finished Heartless Hunter yesterday and it was a fun one. It wasn’t perfect, but it’s one of those books that reminds you how fun YA romantasy can be - I gobbled it up in one day 😅
Begging you to look into Where The Dark Stands Still by AB Poranek!! Polish folklore, gothic cottagecore forest vibes, sentient house, etc etc it’s right up your alley!!!
I looked it up, and the person behind the cover art for Godkiller and Sunbringer is an artist by the name of Tom Roberts. Interestingly enough he also designed the cover for The Book That Wouldn't Burn by Mark Lawrence and an alternate cover for The Tainted Cup by Robert Jackson Bennett. Based on that alternate cover for TTC and the Fallen gods trilogy it seems 'big circles on book covers' is slowly becoming some sort of trademark of his
Hey! Just wanted to make sure! I am pretty sure Before your memory fades is the third book. The second book is the yellow cover. I may be wrong but I would double check so you don't get spoilers!
I hope you enjoy Kushiel's Dart. I first read it when I was 15 and I've loved it ever since (it's been almost 20 years). I reread the first trilogy at the start of this year and loved it just as much, if not more. The Kushiel's Legacy series is one of the best examples I've seen of the writing style and voice matching perfectly with the characters and setting. The first 150 pages are quite slow and detailed, because they set up all the major players and outline the politics and history of the world, but after that it's full speed ahead.
Wow, Kushiel's Dart. I read that trilogy several years ago (though I never finished the follow-up trilogy). Lots of political intrigue, but also lots of sexy times lol.
It's fun to see books I've recently hauled too! 😅 I found the first two Ancillary books by Ann Leckie in one edition... but then I had to buy the third book Ancillary Mercy in the new block colour edition and I'm so sad that it doesn't match the first two - I prefer the other covers 😅 I also recently ordered The Reappearance of Rachel Price - I'm eagerly awaiting it's arrival! 📦
I've been meaning to read Kushiel's Dart forever. A guy I used to work with picked it up on a whim at the library and was SO into it, even though he usually didn't like romance. He seemed to appreciate any steamy scenes. 😂 I also got Dragonfruit this month from BOTM and am looking forward to reading it. The Godkiller books are simply stunning. I keep taking them off my bookshelf and just looking at them.
I read Kevin Wilson’s less popular book “Now is Not the Time to Panic”, and I ended up absolutely loving it. I went in with no expectations (needed an audiobook for a drive) and it ended up being so profound about society and individualism and the inevitability of change. Highly recommend
I had alot of fun reading The Reappearance of Rachel Price, I hope you like it!. I used to be obsessed with Kusheils Dart 😅 it will be interesting to see what you think
Brian Feehan, you´d love him! I am apperently obsessed with the book. For his first (2) books (you have to read the red one first) because the books flow together. I would love it if you did a video on these books if you have time...
👋🏻Thanks for all the good recommends, Regan! I feel like you might enjoy the work of Guy Gavriel Kay, who's usually compared to Robin Hobb and has a lot of standalone historical fantasy books! I keep waiting to see his name pop up more because he's been writing since the 80's so I've decided to campaign for him haha.
LISTEN!!! Kushiels Dart is EXTREMELY POLITICAL which you'll definately love. but there's a lot of sus material in the series as far as the courtesan stuff goes and the "fantasy racism" etc. It's a great triology but it's not without its flaws.
I just finished Heartless Hunter recently, and adored it! I hope you enjoy it as much as I did, because the Gideon shaped hole in my chest is real 😂 This was a true enemies to lovers, and I can not wait for book 2 🩵
for me, bride was the epitome of “i didn’t say it was good, i said that i liked it” 😅
Omg yes same 😂
And funnily enough I liked it a lot more than I thought I would, knowing what I was getting into
Same!!!

THAT COVER TO DRAGONFRUIT!!!! 🤩😮🤩😍😍

Book hauls are always a good thing for the beginning of the month! I’m planning a haul myself soon! ❤
Watching a book haul during a book buying ban is so hard😭😂 but the serotonin of watching bookish content cancels it out😂
The way I bought a bunch of new books lately and this video is making me want to go right back 😭
@@kailynevans problems of a reader😂
I just broke mine cause I cannot resist the indie covers of briar u and off campus by elle kennedy + a box set of The raven boys 😭😭🤣
I think you'll love Kushiel series, it's really well written, well plotted, and the worldbuilding and characters are great!😊
I adored Just for the Summer, but it’s definitely one to pick up when you want something more than a light rom-com. Both of the main characters in the book are dealing with some very complicated family dynamics which really impact them.
❤❤❤ Kushiel's Dart series! I still have trilogy #3 to get to but Carey is an incredible writer. Hope you enjoy it!
So excited to see Empire of Silence in here. My favorite sci fi series. Book 1 is a bit slow but the prose is so good and Hobb fans tend to love it. The books only get better.
I’ve been debating on picking up Kushiel’s Dart for a LONG TIME so I’m looking forward to hearing your review!
same!!!! I've finally deicded to give it a tryyyyy

Yeah I'm pretty sure the second one is called Tales From the Cafe

Just for the summer was beautifulllllll but also deals with some reallllll things. Definitely a summer romance with layers.

Kushiel's Dart summary made me think of the show Alias a little

regan is the fastest booktuber i know, she gets down, she does not play!
Just read the Ninth Rain series in January! It’s SO good!
I had alot of fun reading The Reappearance of Rachel Price, I hope you like it!.
I used to be obsessed with Kusheils Dart 😅 it will be interesting to see what you think
I can’t wait to get my BOTM. I also picked Dragonfruit and I added The Familiar on as well!
I can't wait to see what you think of Ninth Rain! I have it in my library but have not read it yet....
I enjoyed Heartless Hunter so much
Looking forward to your thoughts on lots of these titles!
Bride was a no for me but it had some moments.
The synopsis of Just For The Summer sounds exactly like the movie Good Luck Chuck with extra steps 😂
OMG, YOU WILL LOVE NINTH RAIN SO MUCH. It was seriously amazing! And I think you and I have very similar book tastes.
Brian Feehan, you´d love him! I am apperently obsessed with the book. For his first (2) books (you have to read the red one first) because the books flow together. I would love it if you did a video on these books if you have time...
Nothin to See Here is fantastic. Especially on audio.
There’s a new standalone fantasy coming out on the 9th, The Last Phi Hunter, and I’m very curious about that one! It sounds so good
I got the ARC and I LOVED IT! 5 stars.
The Girls by Emma Cline is one of my favs! 💕

I haven’t heard of Dragonfruit but it sounds so good!
I really enjoyed The Girls by Emma Cline. I got it for free a few years ago and found it to be a quicker read than I originally thought
I got Dragonfruit from BOTM too 😄 I can't wait to read it! I need more Pacific Islander-inspired fantasy in my life 🌴🌺🐠🌊
yessssss
Omg ninth rain was soooooooooooooo good.
Ninth rain series is fantastic
I'm curious to see what you think of The Girls. I barely gave it 3 stars.
If you want a classic fantasy book, look at The Mists of Avalon.
Start with the Great Believers. It was fabulous.
Really curious to see how Kushiel's Dart goes for you! I'm both very intimidated and very curious about it
I think that’s the 3rd book from before the coffee gets cold. The second one I wanna say is yellow. Just so you know! 😊
Yes I was just about to comment that! The 2nd book is tales from the cafe
!!! omg i'm so dumb, thank you for letting me know!
@@PeruseProject you are fine! No problem! ☺️
Enjoy Commonwealth! FYI it's not a new release, it was published in 2016/17. New cover for sure though
heartless hunter sounds like serpent and dove!
That’s quite a haul!!!
I picked Dragonfruit too!!!
Listened to the audiobook of Nothing to See Here, the narration was very good, give it a try if you can. Thanks for the book haul video!
Wish you could get BOTM in the UK

Great Believers is excellent!!

I can’t wait to see what you think of bride I loved the romance and banter and then….. certain things happened …. 🤢
I love BOTM
I loved Bride, but think the spicy scenes will either make it or break it for you. Ninth Rain on the other hand will absolutely love.
I hope you like empire of silence it seems to be very love hate
I dnf the second book and have unhauled them
Heartless hunter is a sequel, in case you did not know ! First one is the crimson moth :)
