- Thinking of deleting your VRO system? We highly recommend it with all of our remanufactured outboards as well as outboards we service. Ultimately it is up to the customer though. This customer decided to remove the VRO on the V6 Evinrude we are currently remanufacturing for him. Tim shows what to replace and how- sometimes the directions are not always correct.
We have been re-manufacturing outboards for over 30 years. In that time we have learned which motors are the most reliable in the long run. We believe that the history of an outboard over its life span is the best judge of its quality and reliability. Check out all the models we rebuild on our website at outboardexchang...
Hi, i have a 130 v4 looper. What pump do you recommend for it
I’m replacing my original VRO pump with the dual diaphragm pump u used here in this video. I’m installing it on my 1992 60*V6 150HP Faststrike.
Hope it works, any comments?
Make sure all the screws are tight on the two fuel pumps, sometimes they leak right out of the box. Feel free to reach out to us if you have any questions.
@@Oexchange thanks I appreciate the quick feedback.
The pumps I have both have a pulse line fitting, only need and have one pulse hose. Can I just plug the other one on the other fuel pump?
@@kurthaase3708 It sounds like you may have the wrong kit. The kit that goes to your motor the two pulse lines are T'ed together.
Will it work on johson 225hp? I bought a cheap one and its starving the motor over 4000 rpms
John 225hp takes a specially designed nonVRO fuel pump. One style is just two fuel pumps put together the other basically looks like the VRO pump with the VRO pump not apart of the unit. If you're just using a single pump it will not provide enough fuel.
What if you have two carburetors. The fuel pump only has one outlet
We would need to know exactly what motor you have, model number would be great, to give you some advice.
Do you have a link or a model number to the replacement fuel pump?
The EMP part number is 1399-07359. You can find them at a few different places online
