Mexican TV news broadcast interrupted by earthquake

- A Mexican news station was broadcasting live when the 7.1-magnitude earthquake struck. Footage shows studio equipment and lights swinging violently as the anchor and staff run out of the studio. A warning siren is heard in the background as the studio camera goes off-air. The earthquake was the deadliest to hit Mexico in more than 30 years. It has flattened buildings and sent masonry tumbling on to streets, crushing cars and people in the capital, Mexico City, and neighbouring areas

Translation: "You feel an earthquake, the floor is moving. You know what you have to do at this moment: Keep calm and evacuate immediately. I'm going to get up and I'm going to evacuate."
It's kinda confusing too translate the beginning to English "Se siente un Temblor"
It a party up in there
@@faze_johhny_sins4340 it's an earthquake. It's one of the dangerous disaster.
It means you feel a shake because im american mexican and peruvian my mom is mexican and dad peruvian so yeah
Sientes un terremoto, el piso se mueve. Ya sabe qué hacer en este momento: mantenga la calma y evacue inmediatamente. Ahora me levantaré y evacuaré. SICK

HOW?!
0:13 nah your building is beeping
this was a rare intraplate earthquake, a earthquake that strikes not on a fault line but away from it. It happend to be very close to Mexico city, showing how fast it hit after the alarm went off. Also pretty insane how this hit on the anniversary of that 1980 earthquake
Seas
and another strong earthquake hits again on the anniversary of the 2 earthquakes this is already too much of a coincidence
No coincidence the sun's position it's what caused it.......is my hypothesis that's the only try thing that wee can be certain of...on the same day
1985* ;)
PS: No, the Sun doesn't cause earthquakes, the layer under the plaques does (it's flowing lava... Once we can find out how do they wave, we can predict the movement of those plaques, thus, predicting earthquakes).
Earthquakes are pretty much always on a fault line. This one is no exception. Though you’re correct it is not a boundary between two plates.
this man have balls
That alert sound is the most nightmare-ish thing for a Mexican, I swear
How about the 1960 one
For sure
@@Loaf-toastwhat 1960?
As a mexican everytime i watch a video on this i have to lower the volume so i dont have a panic attack
Fr if you wanna jumpscare a mexican you just gotta play the sismic alert
You can even see how frightened he was but he still tried to remain calm and left the studio
0:16 I’ve never seen objects shake that violently
Jesus those equipment on the ceiling scared me
Hanging stuff always make it looks worse that it really it is. However it was a bog one.
it actually made me laugh a little
@@LeonardoValleNo, it doesn't make it look worse than it really is. These things respond to the exact inertia exerted by the movement of the magnitude of the earthquake
TF nice he remained calm 😮(normally, News broadcasters would hide. He said in Spanish,” I’m going to evacuate”)
Man: *Talking*
The sound in the background: WOWOWOWOWOWOWOWOWOWOWOWOWOW
Is the alert sismic
That day... It was unforgettable for me, dear Mexico...
Almost 5 years, and watching videos about this, gives me a throwback in the moment the earthquake was happening.
Dust, blood, tears and fear was the only thing I breathe in that moment
There was one today the same day as 2017

In New Zealand we feel the earthquake and find out how bad it is , then some time later join the traffic jam driving up a local hill for the tsunami alert estimate
That’s great for y’all, last time I check your country has a solid type of ground Mexico City is on top of a lake even if the magnitude of the earthquake is not big the movements are pretty strong
He was talking about the earthquake that happened a week ago...
Nope Haha
Héctor he was there was an earthquake two weeks before also that exact morning the whole city made drills because they were remembering the lives that were lost due to that 1985 earthquake
Este señor es valiente!|This sir is brave!
Imagine being this calm during an earthquake
They kinda used to it, also these buildings have proper anti earthquake codes and safety.
The hanging equipment swinging violently gave me the heebie-jeebies! I would hate to be there!
The eas alarm is one of the scariest things that everyone would be scared off depending on it’s sound
De echo ami me gusta el sonido, de la Alerta, no me susta de echo digo hee un temblor y vamosa grabarlo
It must b scary, I was a month old in September 1985 when that earthquake happened. I have relatives in Zacatecas, 32 yrs ltr it happened again last year. R.I.P. 2 the ppl who lost their lives.
Just to clarify, this video is from the 2017 earthquake I think.
5 years later and today the nightmare took over again. 7.6 hi Guadalajara, Jalisco, MX.

We were not taught to stand up here in the Philippines or even in other countries. Every year or at least month we conduct an earthquake drill since the "Big One" is expected in the near future for us...
We're also taught to get under tables and stuff, but in Mexico City and some other cities they have an early warning system so people just try to get out of the building
mexico doesnt have 'a big one coming', mexico has strong eartquakes every 5 years or so, very strong ones every few decades, moderate ones every year or so, and mild ones every 2 days. eartquake and sismic culture is something you'll find very embedded in mexico's daily life.
@caronte We actually have a "big one" coming hahaha, there's an are that's called "Brecha de Guerrero", which is a very big subduction zone that hasn't had any seismic activity greater than a 7.0 in more than a 100 years, so it has a lot of stress building up. This types of faults are the ones that cause extremely big earthquakes like the ones in Japan and Chile, so we should be expecting one.
area*
@@guillermogzb1156 Also the New Madrid Fault here in the US. Kentucky, Illinois, Iowa, Tennessee, Missouri, Arkansas, Mississippi, and Louisiana would be the harder hit areas if a major earthquake were to happen. Since the New Madrid Fault is connected with other smaller but similar zones in the east coast and the south, it would cause a larger area to be affected then usual (see 2011 VA earthquake).
I thought these buildings were cars, but i was wrong and they were actually buildings.

This alert sound of earthquake is scaring me :0
Que suerte que no estuve en México.
One time I was on my tablet playing a game with my sister, and then a "EAS Alarm" went off. I was in the USA at that time and then I got a EAS alarm on my mom's phone and then it said that there was a tornado. Nothing that bad happened, but my grandma came over to my house to stay for a bit, and she came like 4 days ago, and she was still at my house. BUT SHE WAS SLEEPING. We had to wake her up and we also had to tell my mom there was a tornado because my mom was in the shower.

he already was talking about the earthquake at the start
The nacional Weather service has issued a earthquake warning for mexico evacuate the sone now
