UGH absolutely filthy how much vibes & energy this guy brings! dude you deserve even more subs, your intros to these videos should garner you millions of subs & 100 thousands of likes for their creativity alone :D
It's funny because it actually sucks compared to other energy generating, the problem with the rest is that they're all much clunkier while misty is universal and flexible. Moltres needs to attack, Gardevoir needs a stage 2 evo, and Brock can only be used on garbo pokemon. All 3 of those are much much stronger than Misty in a vacuum, because Misty has only 50% chance of producing energy at all, and produces only 1 energy on average, but they're all much more situational so Misty is stronger in the meta.
@@Sinzari agreed. It sucks, but it's also completely op when it works. Even during some of the battles with the lapras ex event on expert the AI will have literally every card they need turn 1 and use misty and have me cooked before i even take my turn and i gotta reset. The other rampers are definitely better in terms of consistency, which is the only upside imo
Whenever someone gets lucky misty against me I just remind myself that they probably jumped for joy cus they never get heads just like I did when I tried misty 😂
@@Gu3ssWhatsN3XTmisty is a bad card in general. It loses you more games in the long run, since it lacks consistency. But the game doesn’t have a proper ranked yet that can exploit that weakness.
This video inspired me to run Kingler and I'm having the time of my life. Losing coin flips with this guy does not feel bad. It's a low chance to win the flip so you barely expect it to happen, there's 80 guaranteed damage, and he's a one point Pokémon so you're barely punished when it misses. And he hits the crit, oh man. It's a dangerous feeling when you smite Mewtwo with God's wrath.
I was just looking at a kingler deck cause I just got beat by one against my marowak ex. It basically seemed like a better marowak ex they both gotta flip 2 heads to deal 160 but the 80 guaranteed is worth 1 more energy and a little less health
@@DARKSN0VV yea I guess u pay 1 more energy for consistency and also kingler isn’t an ex so he’s 1 point if he goes down seems pretty good if u got 1 more energy to spare
Funny how suddenly both you and Poke Dekks post a Gyarados vid on the same day. I've mentioned this already on Dekks' vid, but Gyarados feels pretty great when paired with Pidgeot. The constant switching and energy draining can just completely lock the opponent out of their gameplan. My deck is basically this but remove Sabrina and Seakings for Pidgeot and Kanga to have some early pressure and buy time while you build your evo pokemon. Both are also pretty low energy, so you can spend most your energy on Gyarados assuming Misty doesnt carry that. I like your use of Lapras here, perhaps better than Kangaskhan in my deck so good thinking there! Besides the disruption gameplan, all the pokemon are just very efficient statwise for non EX pokemon when evolved so you can just kinda out pressure them because they have to ko 3 pretty strong pokemon while you often only have to do 2, and Pidgeot lets you cherry pick who to attack. If you think this idea is different enough from this vids list, I'd love to see your impression of it.
I built this deck on stream last Sunday, his video features the exact same deck. I'm certain someone sent him my deck and he posted it yesterday. Would have been nice to receive some credit as that's what I'd do if I were to upload other people's decks before them, but again it was probably somebody giving him the deck without saying where it came from.
@@MegaMogwaiHe says in the intro "A lot of people asked me to play Gyarados deck propably because Mogwai made a video on it, I didn't watch it so I don't know if this decks are identical"
i looked around at the Lightning type Pokemon we have access to right now, and noticed Heliodisk has Colorless energies for its attack. it's an evolution of Helioptile, so it has a decent attack (that requires a coin flip) and HP. i think it's a good use for Legendary Bird coverage in any deck sense it can use any energy for its attack and is Lightning type! though i'm not sure what its best combination would be in a deck...
holy shit what a catch... you might have cooked I need to see if I can work this into anything. Immediate issues I can think of: it's stage 1 with a 2 energy cost and it not being the main attraction of the deck means that's two turns you could have spent building your actual win condition. You're bringing it for bird coverage but mewtwo doesnt run a bird, pika one shots it and is on the field faster than this could kill the zap, it would be decent against only an articuno that doesnt land a misty first, so that leaves... moltres? Char can be good but I wouldnt say it's enough of a threat to warrant a stage 1 2 energy counter just to maybe kill the moltres faster than it can build a char (or centriscorch) I definitely think there's some potential here but it would require some digging, but that sound like fun to figure out so imma see
When the pvp event went live I looked through my cards to find any half decent deck I could put together. The only thing I could find was a variation of this deck. I used 1 Articuno EX and Kanga as supporting mons instead of Seaking and Lapras, with more items and supporters including fossils. When I built it I only had 1 Misty and no Sabrina or Gio, but got them eventually and mixed them into the deck. The basic game plan was the same as this.
Misty should work fine even if you don't generate Water energy. Brock works even if you don't produce Fighting energy. There's a very funny deck which runs Melmetal and Golem, but only produces Steel energy. Since Golem only needs one fighting energy, you can use Brock to get it up and running. Then you use Melmetal's 120 attack to kill Pikachu EXs, and Golem's 150 attack to kill Mewtwo EXs. Not a meta deck by any means, but pretty funny and unique.
Full art Gyarados is my fav artwork in the game currently and I'm very happy to have 5 of those lol Wish it was better as a playable card but hey, it's fine for a couple games once in a while.

(i have a 7 winstreak at the moment this deck is absolute beast i have no idea why oh yeah if the enemy is using that pikachu EX deck put frost moth on the active spot rather than tentacruel AFTER THAT U WIN BASED ON YOUR LUCK)
I genuinely think the best way they could redesign Misty is to make her like Moltres ex where you flip 3 (or even just 2) coins, but you can't attach the energy to basic Pokémon. This way you can't crazy ramp turn 1/2, it nerfs Articuno ex because its a basic Pokémon, and it's a consistency buff for all the underplayed energy hungry water Mons like Blastoise, Cloyster, Gyarados, etc. Other option would be to say you can't attach it to ex Pokémon to do very similar things written above. I have nothing against ramp in this game it's just so frustrating when the other player turn one Misty's their Articuno and you just have to go next. I feel like every other case of ramp in the game has some form of nuance/balance, but Misty is just like "are you lucky???".
it may homogenize the cards but honestly would not mind if they made misty like brock and locked her to certain cards, like gyarados, blastoise, lapras or whatever. Also they could just make her exactly like brock and make it 1 guaranteed water energy on those select pokemon, but then I think water would also need an energy battery like garde or hell even lilligant
Hey could you try to use a blastoise ex deck, I have a good deck built around setting up both gyarados and blastoise ex with 2 snorlax being walls to break down while you juice up gyarados an blastoise with misty(don’t need to worry about failing the coin flip cuz it’s a deck to be played really slowly, like until the cards in the deck runs out). Then there isn’t sabrina because changing enemies Pokémon is not so useful when your blastoise can just one tap everything with hydro bazooka
Have you made a hypno deck of some sorts? I've been seeing a few non-psychic decks run him purely for his ability which coin flips the active mon and puts them to sleep. Lotta hybrid decks to create using that.

I was running 2 Greninja, 2 Golduck and 1 Bruxish, it didn't feel worth the trouble.
