Sunrise is a movement to stop climate change and create millions of good jobs in the process. They're building an army of young people to make climate change an urgent priority across America, end the corrupting influence of fossil fuel executives on our politics, and elect leaders who stand up for the health and well being of all people. The mural was unveiled on Tuesday, August 6th at 7:00pm at 1300 Eureka in Lansing, to celebrate the completion of the project. To date, TOS has created 173 works of public art for 39 partners since 2010, engaging 502 teens and providing paid opportunities for 47 guest artists; and we will continue to dedicate 40 weeks every year to CAPs. Creating public art in a mentored environment gives teens the opportunity to interact with local professionals, artists, volunteers and leaders in ways that are accessible, centered on topics they are passionate about and leaves open avenues for future communication and collaboration.
