Finally (left with no alternative, but showing no fear) it walks up to the cars. Great intelligence for an animal which has hardly attained full growth.

this place Kerala in India it is hill station...I mean it is city...they were more nature place and water falls... this place was toooo beautiful ...there is only one way to.. that city some time in road way animals come...

I dont think you will find a Tata Indica car and Tata Safari car in Thailand. My guess is this is somewhere in southern India. Some roads pass through jungles in southern India
Problem was cameraman of this video...because of his car, elephant could not go in any direction. Poor bikers were trapped in between two sets of elephants.
Amol K no, this elephant was not with the herd anymore, also the herd come out much later. my car was quite far away (at least 80-100m ) and I use a 80-400mm lens to film.at some point I decided to distract the elephant way from the motorbikes, this was successful.

It is very sad to me that there is such a lack of respect for such a beautiful and majestic animal! I have seen these phenomenal creatures up-close in Africa and the respect they were given by our guides was beyond reproach. Looked to me like the (young?) elephant got separated from the rest of his/her herd with the motorcycles in between and was nervous about going back to the herd and having to pass by the motorcycles, but was not so alarmed with the cars.
Hope this was not suspos-to be funny It is sad...... The elephants were in this area long before the road, I'm sure.. I hate that wonderful animals are being encroached on by humans I am just so glad that a human was not injured in anyway because the elephant would have been destroyed. Maybe it would actually be a good thing if the human race were eradicated from the Earth. Maybe when we evolved again we would do things correctly and not try to destroy this wonderful planet we live on. This is not ment to cause an uproar with posts against my posting.
