I've recently gotten into KDM and I've fallen in love with this playthrough. You speak clearly and cover everything pretty efficiently. I know you make some rule errors but hey, you're only human. I know I'm a few years late, but thank you so much for uploading! Amazing stuff.

Meaning the Lion needed 6s to hit you not 5s! Could've evaded that attack! Unfortunate! 20:03 Dryleaf already went with his spear attack, which caused the White Lion to move forward! The Lion hasn't had his turn yet! 22:50 The Scrap Sword is Deadly! +1 Luck, a 9 would be a critical hit! 29:03 Ah you have mixed up two rules there! Deadly gives +1 Luck, Savage is what gives you the extra wound damage for critical! Easy mistake to make though! What a way to kill the Lion though, an Arrow to the Knee! Brilliant! I think Shrine was a good choice to innovate considering the King's Man fight coming up! He does a lot of damage. Honestly my least favourite fight in the whole game, it's borderline unfair even at the best of times! So that potential extra armour from Shrine will be very helpful! Not to spoil too much though, but apart from the fight being unfair, the aftermath has one of my favourite story events in the game, showing how truly dark the world of Kingdom Death truly is! I once again look forward to the next video! I love your enthusiasm for this game and community, it really inspires me at some low points of my day! So I thank you so much for brightening my days with these amazing videos! Good luck for the King's Man fight!
Haha, you're right about my mix up there, totally second guessed myself - I was certain that the 9 was a critical, but I was like, "nup, wrong skill!" And by then I had myself all turned around! Oh well, we're bound to encounter him again soon. Kings Man certainly looks like he's going to be a challenge. Ive got everything set up to continue playing tonight, and boy, those traits are scary. What's been your favourite encounter in the game?
My favourite encounter apart from the Hooded Knight event is probably a later on Nemesis Fight called the Hand. I won't spoil anything but I personally find the fight with him hilarious! I look forward to seeing you encountering him! :D Unless you mean for your current game? If so then it has to be the Open Maw event you did, that was priceless! Had me laughing for a good while! :D And oh yes the King's Man is a scary fight indeed! Hopefully the rules will become easier to deal with and keep up! Practice makes perfect!

Question : the small soundtrack for the age milestones(intimacy events, etc.) and other events that plays before you do them, where is it from? :)

Dude, it's like the music fitted with the theme perfectly, gloomy and kinda hopeful at the same time...I am approaching the butcher soon and already had 1 twin birth(first and only intimacy event so far), the joy :)) I am all stocked on weapons(king spear, cat gut bow with claw head arrow, pair of lion katar and the bone club, blade and axe, but almost no armour and yeah, I had already 3 deaths :'(
Rules lawyer here! 9:57 - the armor points are set on the depart step on the settlement phase. You don't lose the armor for the cloth and don't gain the armor for the mask 19:38 - you can't dodge grab, since it is not a hit of an attack 25:17 - Freya is also knocked back 5 spaces 25:50 - Bastian is also knocked back 5 spaces 29:04 - deadly is not savage, it is just +1 luck. And I believe you've rolled a 9 on the wound before and forgot to crit Also, remember, that shrine gives +1 armor during the depart step this lantern year. You are going to depart two times, one for the special showdown and one for the regular hunt. The shrine will give you the armor two times this year Great video! There is almost no chance you will beat the Kingman without shields, so don't take out your best people and irreplaceable gear) take all the risk during the fight and try to obtain kings step on as many survivors as possible, this is your only chance
I agree with the points but I always house rule the first point as I don't really think that the intention of the rules is that losing armor during the hunt/settlement phase (e.g. by gaining the weak spot disorder) doesn't affect your armor points. There are lots of areas where RAW is a bit weird and you'd need to think about what makes sense.
I mean, if there is a rule conflict or something is not clear, then you should use a common sense. But for a youtuber with let's plays that people watch - it is better to play by the rules (or at least announce if you house-rule something)

Awesome! Good decision to resist the Armoured Strangers - worst case scenario, you end up losing only 4 population and you learn how fighting the Kingsman works! Now you have to decide whether you are taking your stronger guys or throw lots of new survivors and see if they survive! Oh and a small correction: you can't dodge damage from grab (or other similar effects that cause straight damage but are not monster attacks)

Well, it answers the half of the question)) losing the gear causes the update, but gaining the gear doesn't, if RAW :)
to be fair, lots of things make you lose gear, but few things make you gain gear during a hunt or showdown...
