@@argon7479 nah android is trash , nobody can convince me otherwise , you can have your fruity custom themes all you want . When it comes to gaming / daily usage of any apps apple reigns supreme . Only thing android is good for is high optical zoom , other than that the whole phone is a waste . Never will android be as optimized as iOS , there are far to many phones being release that use android os . They have to make the software optimal for casual android users cause they phone ranges begin at budget level pricing .now it’s different with iPhones as they optimize the software thru and thru to not only run flawless on flagships but any model that came before , because each year they drop flagships aside from SE ( which still has flagship chipsets and capabilities just no Face ID ) they run the game

It’s using the same NFC Chip all other iPhones, until iPhone 14 used.
Contactless Payment stuff also works without a problem.
It’s not a data Problem either, as the NFC is just used to find a phone nearby and then apple uses point-to-point WiFi to get the Data to another phone, which also works perfectly fine, if the tap feature isn’t used.
They did a few software tweaks and it works better at the moment, but it’s still not convenient and fast enough to be a part of daily usage.
I tested it with a iPhone 14 and a iPhone 15 and it was about as slow as with my phone.
But maybe it’s usable for some owners or comes in handy for some kind of situation, but in my opinion the marketing is way to big.
It’s just a small Airdrop addition which seems to be insanely futuristic, but doesn’t makes the users experience better.
I think the concept of Airdrop is quite nice and they have a lot of potential not used regarding the feature. A Software based Airdrop Update with better Menus, faster detection, easier gestures wouldn’t be hard at all.
I am actually happy and surprised by the fact they didn’t limited it to the iPhone 15.
Maybe next Update they will finally update the calculator or the calendar, because those features are used definitely more frequently than tap-Airdrop.
Sorry for the f*cking wall of text. Thx for reading 🫡

Agreed, Apple usually waits until they are confident in their execution of a feature. But the thing is, since android came up with those features first, over these years they have refined those features too, to the point where most well versed with both operating system will go for stock Android experience on pixel phones over iOS these days.
Apple, till recently had been in their own league and can safely ignore competition, but its no longer the case. In my opinion, Android has surpassed iOS in terms of user experience and Apple needs some catching up to do.
