  • R35 vs 991 GT3 vs Corvette Z06 vs Lan Evo vs EG6 K24
    Struggled with setup on the Vette, didnt get a clear lap in Quali and struggled with understeer the whole race. Made for a a lot of fun battles thoguh.

    Seeing the EG6 and Corvette keep up with R35s on the circuit puts into perspective the massive weight difference, great video once again.

    Oh my... I don't want to imagine the level of frustration of the guy in the Civic having to deal with you hahaha
    The Corvette, being on slicks and being well... a Corvette... seems surprisingly predictable and controllable in its behavior though...

    That move on the evo in the last lap was magic

    Love these videos. The behind view is awesome. I can imagine the frustration dealing with that setup, nannying it so hard around the corners. Bet ya can't wait to get it dialed.

    Suscribed. Love the race content tbh, the comments makes us understand better what we're seeing and why the car is behaving like that.
    Thanks for sharing :)
    EDIT: it seems like the more laps you got into the race, the car started to behave way, WAY better (even when losing traction sometimes). Might be related to the tire pressure and tire temps. Also, maybe lowering one gear in some corners might help with the rotation, even when i don't know the Dif setup, might worth trying.

      Started to drive around the problem, lowered entry speed to try and mitigate the understeer. barreling in and having it plough wide is slower and makes the front tyres even worse.

      @DahakaCL 11 місяців тому

      @@JesseStreeter using narrower tires might help with the rotation also. I did that on my car and felt little less grip on high speed corners but way better rotation on the "S" or tighter corners.

      @@DahakaCL have used thinner tyres in the past but with no GT wing, balance felt better but was about 1 second or more slower. Most of the vette track guys are around the 300~330 section sizes, I havent had time to check over the car but I think its going to be an alignment and suspension setting issue causing the most grief.

    Damn that understeer sucks, for being much slower, that k swap eg6 is no joke

      gives me confidence once sorted the vette should be pretty good, maybe even enough for the 700hp R35s. EG6 is full tune K24 and gutted, plus driver mod. not sure if I can link in chat but here is his view ua-cam.com/video/kUI-g-A4r6E/v-deo.html

      @@JesseStreeterdamn, the eg6 driver is good and car is nimble, went outside that r35 like nothing. Once you sort out the vette, everyone is gonna hate that cheater car lol.

    What are the requirements to get into those races? Btw loved the video 💯

      each race / series has it own regulations. JJcup is just Turbo and NA classes and no other rules. So is pretty amazing the first 4 cars crossed the line only 3 seconds apart. As for joining the prerequisites are very loose and safety responsibility etc. is very much placed on you. So just need to book in for the race, bring car, helmet/gloves and long sleeves/pants and good to go.

      @@JesseStreeter wow that doesn’t sound bad might try it out! Will have to ship car from Okinawa
      Also are there no tire regulations? Do some people have obvious advantages with softer compounds?

    • @JesseStreeter
      @JesseStreeter  11 місяців тому +1

      @@MrMiquel42 for JJcup there are no regulations, so you could totally bomb the class if you brought some all out race car... but the event isnt really about that. Most other races are limited to "S" tyres like A050 or 03G or even lower spec like radials only and car type like Honda one make events etc. Just depends on the race and the regulations.

    Doesn't this year Vette have an aluminum chassis? Thing still weighs as much as a boat lol. What kind of wheels you have on it? Look like white TE's from the thumbnail.

    • @JesseStreeter
      @JesseStreeter  11 місяців тому +2

      thats correct, alloy chassis. certainly is a heavy weight compared to what Im used to but at ~1400kg is still not obscene, (a lot lighter than the R35s and about the same as the 991.1 GT3)

    • @JesseStreeter
      @JesseStreeter  11 місяців тому +2

      oops and yes TE37s (alloy 18 11s front and magnesium 18 12s rear)
