  • With the collapse of communism, many things have changed. The fallen empire left behind a scene of devastation in huge parts of the world. What remains from the socialist era today, are ruins that tell the history of the past. These include the final resting places of precious artifacts. In the fourth episode of our Hungary road trip series, we're exploring maybe the most unique vehicle graveyards of the country. From legendary jet fighters to partially one-hundred-year-old steam engines, we discovered true achievements from Soviet years. Also this time, we had to be especially careful since many adventurers before us have been caught here in the past. Well-prepared, we started two infiltrations of the most impressive vehicle graveyards we have experienced so far! #urbex #abandonedplaces #bwturbex

As always, your images here are breathtakingly beautiful. You captured a feeling in these two sites that connects me to those who lived with these machines when they were state of the art. My Father was a fighter pilot during WWII, and I have photos taken back in those days. It is easy to forget the intensity with which the elderly lived their lives, but it is images like yours that bring their youth back into focus. You are building your legacy with these images, and your thoughts and feelings about them...one day, your great grandchildren will look at these adventures of yours with wide eyes...and know that you enjoyed such a rich life. Thank you.🖤🇨🇦

Dear Gentleman: I am so enthralled by these beautiful videos. You have captured a world no one would know existed without your determination. Beyond that, you’re voice in the narrative is phenomenal. Your photography is pure genius, and the images give a look at the past for those who could never visit these places. The series. Is so well done. Thanks so very much for taking the risks for all of us. I treasure the trip I shared with you in this 5 episode exploration. You’re all angels to have accomplished a great feat.

Interesting facts to the Su-22M3s.They were just overhauled for couple of hundred millions, and in '96 announced the military reform "Gerecse",and all of the newly overhauled Su-22 were withdrawn from active duty. They never flown after the factory overhaul, they just thrown out to the garbage. The brand new planes they just thrown out...it was a black day for the Hungarian Air Force.Even the Migs have some life left of them, they throw out them aswell.Shame on our politicians of that time.😞

But my favorite was the all the old trains. You guys did an incredible job there. Beautiful footage I have to say. It is truly sad to see history rotting away like that.

Freue mich schon aufs nächste Video (nice Preview). Viele Grüße und einen schönen Sonntagabend 😁👍

But I must honestly thank you for all you go through to show us amazing spots like these in such rich quality of filming photography and production. For us, you become very much the closest to the museum these vehicles deserve by documenting and creating bedazzling content that somehow will save them from oblivion in years to come.

Beautiful scenes and photos! Seeing these trains in Hungary however, reminded me of a story an old man told me almost 20 years ago. He was a child helping his family cross the border so he sang and danced to entertain the troops while some of his family crossed illegally. Then at some point in his stay in Hungary, he said he watched people climb on a train on top and the sides but they were knocked off probably to their death when the train went into a tunnel. I do not know when this happened but I suspect it would have been 60 to 70 years ago.

Thank you for the subtitles. Seeing these graveyards, especially the train graveyard filled me with sadness. I got goosebumps from hearing the rain hit the ground and the cast iron of the engines. It's a waste to just leave them laying around. Such a shame. But again, this is how history not written and preserved goes. Forgotten. In this video, they will live on magnificently as they once did.
