Literally got goosebumps just watching this! I love Lana because she is unique to every other artist! She has her own style! And she still sounds like an angel live!
Why doesn't she make this song a staple at her concerts? She sounds so perfect and at peace here. Meanwhile she's constantly singing these songs that are so vocally challenging that she wears out her voice and doesn't sound as talented. This performance is perfection and the song is so beautiful and nostalgic.
It's not her voice, she can sound shaky because of her nerves but on her studio recordings you can hear she doesn't use or need auto tune. It's just nerves that makes it difficult for her sometimes.
Cause its a concert, that needs dynamics, she cant just sing all chilled songs, she has to put on a show. Like you cant have a wedding where you only serve water :V

She uses more background vocals now, but she is more in control of her voice than she used to be. She sings over some prerecorded bits of the song to make it more similar to the album, but yes, performance used to be more organic before.

I've never been a huge fan of Lana but i freaking love this song, and i also love how she sings exactly like the studio version and that's not because she has an amazing voice, it's because she doesn't LIE, she does not use autotune or does stupid dance routines... With this i'm not saying that she doesn't have a good voice; she has. But if you really wanna hear amazing voices live there are other singers... Like Sara Bareilles or Ed Sheeran for example.
I watch all of these older live performances and can’t understand why I didn’t like her! I’m thankful that I have now seen her live (in Brixton) but to also have seen her during the Paradise tour at the Hammersmith Apollo would have been magical! ❤️❤️
