The five Khanna’s conventionally known as me is greatful for these readings of Ajahn Chan’s teachings. Occasionally, the readers side bars are quite illuminating as well. Thank you.
    Sadhu! Sadhu! Sadhu!

PS Thanks to Bhante Sujato for the reference to the khandas as reference the conventional notes.

Hello friend, you can now slow the video down. Try that. If you struggle with it, write a comment back and I'll try to help you.

Mendicants, there are four ways of practice. What four?
    Painful practice with slow insight,
    painful practice with swift insight,
pleasant practice with slow insight, and
    pleasant practice with swift insight.

This goes too fast for me

Are there any recordings where the reader is speaking slowly? I wonder how people don't realize that when teachings are given it is not the same as reading a book because you can't go back to read something slower if you couldn't understand it the first time. Usually speakers speak slowly when delivering teachings to a large audience - basics of public speaking.
I wish they had catered for people who struggle to understand fast speech and the accent, not to mention the content which we have become so astray from. This is so disappointing for me because I am so very eager to listen to Ajahn Chah's teachings but am struggling so much with my cognitive processes that I end up stressing my inner systems to keep pace with the reader. I have severe health issues governing my cognitive functioning but I follow slow speech (normal slow speech will do).
I must say though that I am ever so grateful and delighted that these recordings were made and made so generously available to the public but I am getting no benefit from them. Speak slowly please. Thanks.

-download mp3from above link then change speed via your favorite mp3 player and listen to it while walking along the street or cycling or else. Hitting shift+left arrow usually goes back a few secs of the recording, else read documentation of your software

khikri100 -- just tap screen on right or left to fast forward or go back to review. you can adjust in setting how far back or ahead is moved with tape. Default maybe 15 or 30 seconds. Or turn on closed caption to read

Khikri100, I hope you found out how to adjust the speed of the talk, which I routinely set at 75% which is a quite normal speed. On my phone I tap the three vertical dots on the right top corner of the screen that allows you to change the speed. Though you posted your comment 7 years ago, if this advise doesn't help you now, maybe it will help someone else that's struggling. I do wish they had left instructions to adjust at the time the talk was posted as I really think this could have helped so many, as I have seen the same disappointment on other talks as well.
