MIND not only to be controlled only, but to be surrendered completely, then only we can go beyond Par Brahm...the path and guide to surrender the MIND, is Naam.. Naam are melodies, some of them within the Mind, the other balance are beyond mind
I don’t know the exact shabadh or pangtee, but if I recall correctly, I heard in one of the videos from the channel ‘Naanak Naam’ on UA-cam, where Bhayee Satpaal Singh Jee gave an example and mentioned one of Guroo Naanak Saahib Jee’s shabadhs. The example is inverted in that case, and Guroo Jee labels the vikaar (vices) as the prey which are to be hunted and shot down by their (our) arrow the moment that they rise.
Some vichaar of mine:
1. The battle of the mind will continue until our last breaths. We must stay in the fight constantly consistently. Relentless, & ruthless. That means when the mind eases up, we must push through; when the mind is alluded by the fingers of maayaa (vikaar / vices), we must recognize those moments and heave ho the ship’s steering wheel, keeping steadfast.
2. In my personal experience, the fingers of maayaa (vikaar / vices) most definitely will inflict me sometime through some angle. The fingers of maayaa will flip the switched off. In contrast, taking those moments and turning into humility, recognizing the hukam of ik-oankaar with prem/sweetness, and sehaj (equipoise) into the mindframe of reverence, and adding in baaNee (gur-mantar, or full shabadhs) manifesting that mental state of ‘ustat-mode’ into verbal form, flips the switch back on. That moment or time, in turn, is when we are “gurmukh”. That is our mission, our rehraas; our way of life; forever fighting the battle in this beautiful play orchestrated by the universe.
That’s all just me trying to explain my current understanding and place in my spiritual journey as vaaheguroo jee kaa khaalsaa.
vaaheguroo jee kee phateh is our rehraas; sevaa is through the mind and shabadh.
bhul jhukaa te khima kardheyo.

Do we work for Kipra, beg for Kirpa or is Kirpa/Gurparsaad totally out of our hands ?
Bhai gurdaas ji says: “Walking one step towards the Guru's feet, the True Guru walks millions of steps to welcome you”
So yes make the effort, because that is in our hands. All we can do is make the effort and do ardaas. The result is never in our hands pyareo. Fall at the feet of mahraj truly, and mahraj will bless you with love. Kirpa is always showering but is our bowl 🥣 upright or is it upside down? Kirpa will only come to us if we are ready and making efforts to receive and fall in love with Akal Purak.
FIRST we must understand what actually are this NAAM OR MELODIES.. There are many types of melodies are there, which particular ones, should we sikhis should pick up, and which ones we should avoid... Some melodies are downstreams they preserve the EGO... Some are uplifting ones, that dismantles the Ego..
FOR THIS WE NEED REAL TIME GURUS TO COME FORWARD AND EXPLAIN IT.. PLEASE PEOPLE WHO HAD NOT EXPERIENCE IT SHOULD NOT EXPLAIN IT.. IF WE CAN T GET SATGURUS BECAUSE THIS ARE VERY VERY RARE...AT LEAST WE CAN USE THE SERVICES OF SADHGURUS TO EXPLAIN THIS...SADHGURUS TALKS THINGS WITHIN THE MIND ONLY, NOT BEYOND IT...SADHGURUS ARE MANY IN INDIA, YOU CAN GET THEM EASILY.. AT LEAST THEY CAN EXPLAIN THOSE NAAMS THAT ARE WITHIN THE MIND...SOMETHING IS BETTER THEN NOTHING AT ALL..
BUT BEFORE THEY START TALKING AND EXPLAINING , WE MUST INFOR THE PUBLIC IN ADVANCE THAT THIS ARE SADHGURUS BUT NOT SATGURUS...OR ELSE CONFUSION WILL TAKE PLACE..
WE WANT TO LISTEN TO THOSE WHO HAD INNER EXPERIENCES.. SOMETHING IS BETTER, THEN NOTHING AT ALL
