Thank you for that! I love my Shoei helmet. I havent tried a Schuberth and will check them out the next time i am looking. Thanks for the comment and support!
This is a great video on helmets. The content is spot on for the research and little knowledge I have. I had only recently learned about taking the downward picture to get the head shape. My wife and I were looking at HJC helmets and hadn't decided on one, but we may upgrade to something better like the Bell or Shoei. It's hard to find a long-oval helmet, but I think that's what I need. Appreciate this post to expand my knowledge!
I really like my Shoei Neotec II....I had no hotspots with it last year, but noticed one this year because of a different hairdo...more hair and it's thick...just had it razor cut and thinned so hopefully that helps...TommyG says he doesn't understand what I'm talking about because his hair has never bothered him....😁😁😉😉💜💜
Thank you! I mainly did this video for the new riders. Usually when i get asked this it is because someone has never rode before. I can understand why they ask too because if i order a helmet online it is a 50/50 chance that it fits right. I have also noticed that most of the time a newbie always goes cheap which is the wrong thing to do!
You can't / shouldn't put a price on safety. I cringe when I see uninformed riders wearing cheap gear that is untested and certified riding apparel. Your video goes some way to educating people.
Yup! 4 of the 5 sites that i looked up mentioned that they use the honor system. One stated that the reason for this is there is not enough resources for them to be able to test every model and helmet out there. Makes sense but that puts a lot of faith in the manufacturer not cutting corners.
Awesome video and graphics MM!!! Helmets have come a long ways since the 70's...I have owned several SHOEI's and liked there safety ratings...I would like to try the RUROC brand..but no modulars yet
If you do decide to go Ruroc Atlas go at least ONE size bigger than their chart suggests & don't hang about returning it with ALL tabs & stickers in place if you need to go up two sizes. Living pretty close to Ruroc I wish I'd have pushed harder to try one on. . If you see one on the road buy the guy a coffee & ask if you can try his on. Good luck !!

@@MOABMAN 🤗💜 you're so welcome!
Good information. I like Shoei and Aria and recently bought a SCHUBERTH C5 which is also a comfortable helmet.

Thank you for watching. If you can go Shoei i have been extremely pleased with it. Cost a lot but feels so nice when its on. Good quality feel!

I always say that the helmet is the most important part of safety gear and get the best you can.
Honor system?? Holy cow! Wonder why that is?

@@MOABMAN yes, for sure!
do they do a Frankensteins monster helmet, thats the size i need lol.
Some helmets do have XL and XXL sizes. If you do find you need a special size i would call the company of one you like and ask.

Yes they have come a long way! I wish i still had my red white and blue "Evil Kneival" open face helmet.
