This song is amazing. My ex and me, we had a different kind of toxic relationship than your story, but I can still relate. She was honestly an amazing person but we had many fights and I thought that we could work things out but in reality the relationship we had was becoming more and more toxic and it was a good decision she made that we should split up. Almost 2 and a half years passed and I still feel guilt of how I acted towards her and that I didn't trust her fully and that I became someone I didn't want to be towards her. She simply deserved better than me.
This song is so relatable having had an almost identical relationship with my high school gf. After we split, it was the exact same. When I was dating other people and got lonely or had a break being single I'd call her and we'd mess around. After it was over I felt like the worst human being on the planet. 10yrs later shes happily married and I'm extremely happy for her. I can't help but think about how all my failed relationships and marriage since then is karma for what I did to her. What a powerful song.
This band came up in my suggested playlist on Spotify and man the production sounds so crisp, the writing is amazing, and the compositions all are amazing not one bad song on the album! I hope you guys go far! Great album

I went through a very similar situation and I finally got into you guys thanks to Nail The Mix had heard the name before but never listened. You guys have quickly become in the top 5 of my favorite bands ever. 2021 I apparently listened to 800+ minutes of just you guys lol. The entire album and also The World Was Quiet and Spotless Mind fits our relationship almost to a T except it was 2 years not 3. Wish I had found you guys sooner and had started mixing/producing earlier would have loved to work with you guys but you guys have such an insane team of people backing your music that I could only hope to be as good. Dan did an insane job producing and Henrik did and incredible job mixing. Some of the best sounding and most well written music I've heard in a long time. I hope to see/hear a lot of more big things cumming for you all :P

And well we still stayed together and sorted ourselves out, but then at the same time last year it happened again and we are back together you just end up in a trance.....
No wonder this song spoke out to me, me and my ex wife divorced for the same thing. We were not meant for each other and we’re toxic to each other a lot and even know there was happy moments it was just bad for us both. She cheated on me and moved on. So did I but it was for the best.
