hey thanks so much! I’ve watched your videos!!! Your G85 videos were super motivating man, really showed what this camera is capable of. Means a-lot, thanks for watching!
this might be my favorite demonstration of the G85 I've seen, makes me want to actually learn how to use mine properly. You've got a great eye and a lot of talent!
Amazing work! Reminds me of Tim Kellner visual style! Found your video from my reccomendation. As a G85 user, I didn't expect that this camera would achieve this looks! Looking forward for your work!
This is a huge compliment Tim is my favorite filmmaker!! Thank you much man! And absolutely, the G85 is super capable of producing high quality. I really appreciate the support!
You are insanely talented. I just subscribed. I’ve been living in Seattle for 3 years now and it has been the best decision that I’ve made. Leaving AZ was the best decision for me!
I just moved to Seattle it's a beautiful city abd man your cinematics are on another level like you shot this shit with a $14000 red camera I just subscribed
This is phenomenal! Okay, so I’ve been trying to figure this out for ages because it seems no other video will explain, but is there a possibility you’d be able to list the settings you used for the diff times of day including diff types of weather? (If that makes sense) like what aperture, SS and kelvins you use? I have a G85 myself and I’m an aspiring filmmaker still figuring this all out. Any help is appreciated :)
Beautiful art .. amazing man.. i too am a g85 user .. Can you please share your picture profile settings orany colour grading tips, i would love to learn from u
Dang brow! This is by far the best footage i´ve seen from G85, what lens you used ? what color profile you used and what are your settings ? the color grading is masterfull, i would love to see a tutorial ! keep it up bro, this is fire!
You’re too kind bro! Thank you!! For this one really a mixture of lenses, the kit 12-60mm, 25mm 1.7, and the Olympus 17mm 1.8. For my color profile, I prefer the natural profile with everything -5 except saturation which is at -2. I appreciate the support!
Keep coming back to this video! It’s inspiring and I’m actually moving to Seattle too ! I’m curious which scenes you used your Olympia lens in and also if you used any filters during filming? And if so which ones?
Thank you so much, truly!! That’s amazing man! Yeah I can’t wait to move there permanently in a few months (hopefully). And uhh, hmm. Definitely the first shot was on it. And honestly probably most the the frames in this video. Been awhile so I don’t remember exactly. But yeah! I have a Tiffen 1/4 promist and an urth variable ND for my G85 gear. Though I would note the Olympia 17mm 1.8 doesn’t really need a pro-mist on the G85 in my opinion. Its sharp but not overly sharp like the Lumix 25mm 1.7 can feel sometimes.
I was wondering wether to buy it or not because i've always used canon for work.. but for travelling.. I FELL IN LOVEEEEEEEEE AAAAAAAAH Thank you for this, you're amazing
Haha thanks so much!!! It’s an amazing camera, with amazing value. This was shot mostly with the Olympus 17mm 1.8. I also have a Lumix 25mm 1.7 and a the kit 12-60mm for the G85 too.
Thank you!! Its a great camera, I would say go for it! It was my first camera too. It has its negatives but honestly just get out there and create with it! If you have any specific questions when you get it. I’ll be happy to answer
Thanks so much! The G85 is pretty solid for the most part, but it does struggle at higher ISOs, it can become very noisy. But from my experience it is very very capable in lowlight. Getting a fast, wide aperture lens, will also help a lot!!
This was pretty close to the original video out of camera, I just used the daylight coming through the window, to create the silhouette and added a little extra contrast.
No actually, but they are pretty much identical spec wise. The gx85 is built like more less like a pocket, point and shoot camera. The G85 has a SLR build to it, has a fully articulating screen, etc. But feature wise, they are essentially the same camera. Both great!!
Haha yeah, the G85 isn’t my main body anymore. But for its cost and overall performance it’s amazing. I can personally get around the poor AF I though. haha.
🙌🏼 that first shot was soooo good man! Amazing work!
hey thanks so much! I’ve watched your videos!!! Your G85 videos were super motivating man, really showed what this camera is capable of. Means a-lot, thanks for watching!

May i ask what lenses you used?
Lol. just bought it!
Haha thanks so much!!! It’s an amazing camera, with amazing value.
This was shot mostly with the Olympus 17mm 1.8. I also have a Lumix 25mm 1.7 and a the kit 12-60mm for the G85 too.
@@stangatsonjr I'm really excited haaha Thank you so much! I bought the kit, so we'll see how this goes!
I just bought the 25mm f1.7 - any tips for it?
Very well done stan! How does it perform on the grading? Does the image break easily when you push on post?
Sorry didn’t see this! And no actually! I didn’t do heavy grades with the G85, but it absolutely has a stable image, given the 8bit color of course.
what lens did u use man? loved the video colors, balancing, direction, loved it.
thank you!!! And for this one a mixture of the 12-60, 25mm 1.7 and 17mm 1.8!
MORE G85 CONTENT !!!
Love the vid Stan!
What lens are you using?
Thanks so much Dan! And a mixture! Kit 12-60, Olympus 17mm 1.8, and 25mm 1.7.
hi bro, do you think this camera is suitable for this year?
Beautiful bro, I work in the film industry for 25 yrs, you got the touch, keep going! What lens is this??
Oh man thank you so much!! And a mixture in this video, Lumix 12-60 and 25mm 1.7. But I believe most shots were on the Olympus 17mm 1.8!
Any advice to get that tonality of color?
you have such a wonderful eye... how do you do it, man? any tips for g85 shooters?
Oh man you’re too kind! Thanks so much!! And definitely, If you have any questions about how I shoot with it, I’ll be happy to answer!!
what your lens bro ?
Great image! One of the best shots from this camera which I have ever seen
Thank you much!! Glad you enjoyed!
Nice little poem ! Did you use autofocus or manual focus ?
Really Nice shots I especially like the one at about 1:19 of you overlooking the water. What settings did you use for the profile?
Thank you! I use Natural with everything -5 but saturation at -2
@@stangatsonjr Thanks so much Ill have to give it a try when my camera gets here.
wow, amazing what you've done with that camera now! Proof it's not the gear but the content. Where did you get the music?
Thank you so much!! I get my music from epidemic sound!
Insane video man! Thinking about buying a g85 as my first camera, any tips?
Thank you!! Its a great camera, I would say go for it! It was my first camera too. It has its negatives but honestly just get out there and create with it! If you have any specific questions when you get it. I’ll be happy to answer
Thinking about picking up a second hand G85 to begin filmmaking! How're you finding it in low light?
Nice video dude 🤝
Thanks so much! The G85 is pretty solid for the most part, but it does struggle at higher ISOs, it can become very noisy. But from my experience it is very very capable in lowlight. Getting a fast, wide aperture lens, will also help a lot!!
what lens?
Great shots mate, can I ask you if u shoot in Cine-D or something else? And d'you use some lut?
Thank you! And I actually shot in the natural picture profile! No luts that I remember, just slight changes in the curves!
@@stangatsonjr natural profile is INSANE then, I always use cine-d, I'll definitely give it a try 😍
The footage is very incredible! i love this...can i have the raw footage bro?
there is my new video with lumix gx85 if you want check it out

hey man! can i ask what lens do you use for this video?
no problem! a mixture, kit 12-60mm, and the olympus 17mm 1.8
Very good!
for the second shot did you expose correctly and underexpose it in post or did you do it in camera.

This was pretty close to the original video out of camera, I just used the daylight coming through the window, to create the silhouette and added a little extra contrast.
Subscribed! Any chance you can make a before and after color grading on this?
I would love to! But I honestly there wasn’t much grading done on this, slight corrections only. The natural profile on this camera is truly powerful.
what lens did you use? I’m curious to know…
On the G85 a mixture of all the 3 lenses I own for it. 12-60 Kit, 25mm 1.7, and the Olympus 17mm 1.8!
Dude can I ask where did you get the music score and what picture profile is this shot on thanks.
Epidemic Sound!! And the natural profile!
@@stangatsonjr thanks man your work is awesome.
@@lexilovespau thank you so much!!
Crazy footage i have the same cam and lenses i think its handheld shooting verry good. What about the colorgrade
Thank you! You definitely can grade a bit, without pushing the footage too much!
@@stangatsonjr i subscribed keep up new footages 👍
Bruh this looks amazing. Did you shoot in Cine D? You have to do a tutorial or something
Yo thanks!! And I shot all of these in the natural profile!! Haha and maybe so people want one. Really didn’t do too much to the footage honestly.
@@stangatsonjr that's awesome. You're really talented. You should make like a 10min film
Hi. looks great. Is this mp4/24fps? Is it cineD? thanks.
Yep! On the G85 I prefer to shoot in the natural profile!
@@stangatsonjr thanks! What sofwtware you use for post process?

im using the camera now, unfortunately g85's video focus very bad, although it has great color and nice video stability😂
Haha yeah, the G85 isn’t my main body anymore. But for its cost and overall performance it’s amazing. I can personally get around the poor AF I though. haha.
Whay are your shutter settings for this
Are you referring to my shutter speed? If so, all of this was shot in 24p, so my shutter was at 1/50. Hope that helps!
我的天哪,请问博主的镜头是什么!?😮
Did I see Canon glass?
Haha no canon glass in this. Only Lumix native lenses.
