  • Puto pao is a type of steamed mini buns made out of cake flour filled with seasoned pork then topped with salted duck eggs, think of it as a cross between siopao and puto.
    INGREDIENTS
    FOR BATTER
    1 ½ cup cake flour
    ½ cup white sugar
    1 ¼ cup water
    1 ½ tbsp baking powder
    FOR MERENGUE
    4pcs egg whites
    ¼ cup white sugar
    For filling
    300grms ground pork
    1 tbsp brown sugar
    1 tbsp oyster sauce
    1 tbsp water
    ½ tbsp cornstarch
    1 tbsp soy sauce
    1 tbsp cooking oil
    Chopped onion
    Chopped garlic
