I know this will just be a random comment on this video, but I just wanted to put it out there. This era of mike Posner saved me, as cheesy as that sounds.. I was addicted to drugs living in shelters and peoples houses who I would pay in drugs , I was listening to mike on shuffle one night , and this song came on then live before I die , and I burst into an uncontrollable panic that I was wasting my life , for the next 4 years I have hustled my way up to running a business and helping others with recovery. Last month marked my 3.5 half years sober , and I still attribute all my positive changes to these songs.

I lost my Mom when I was 11. I always wonder how different me and my life would be if I would of had her throughout my lifetime. It makes a difference when you truly have love and support in your life. I will never knkw what that is like but I hope those who have that kind of connection, appreciate and cherish it.
Found this at 1:17am Saturday morning at 40 years old and couldnt need to hear this more than i do right now. My kids are going to hear this song played regularly for the rest of their lives.
I love my Mother and always will. It's funny how since I have a late birthday, with the victory lap, I graduated at 18 and eventually dropped out of college ang got hooked on drugs, making 22 the lowest point in my life. And as I am currently 26 and finally and long overdue; Making a plan for myself.

This song and “I took a pill in Ibiza “ made me cry like a hormonal pregnant woman for nearly three hours, the first day I discovered those 2 songs. I listened to them over and over and over... Until my husband came home from work and I put on a happy face again. Lol. Those 2 songs and his song “Move On” are my top 3 favorite of his so far, and probably will be top 3 all time favorites of his. He’s sooooo amazing it’s crazy.
I've always been a fan of Mike for over 7 years. His music sounds different and his style has changed, but he always sang from his heart, and still does. Don't be afraid Mike, I'll always be a fan :)

Its because the audience do really want funky background music , they didn't even try to read the lyrics , Lyrics are what that gives a song a meaning but today's generation is all cares about being badass , sadly I am from this generation tooo , but I don't like funky music , that's why I love Artists such as Mike Posner , Coldplay , Julia Michaels , twenty One Pilots , etc
This song is so original. Pure. Beautiful. Nastalgic. Sad. Happy. Like... It made my soul connect to the music and I *couldn't stop myself from dancing it out* Mike. I bet you hardly never got a comment like that under any of your party songs. Just see it as a sign because I know I'm not the only one. THIS is so much greater than getting all those views, so... yes, you are on the right path (just, a less glorified one- a more beautiful and true one).
I was listening and it made me cry, I looked out the window with tears in my eyes, as a middle aged woman, the same age as my mum, looked straight up at me. She could see I was crying and i felt compassion from her as she drove past, all while listening to this song.
This performance deserves a billion views. I'm 26 now. I see you in myself. Love you, Mike. Stay Strong. And everyone else out there. I love you, you're worth it.
This beautiful music video of Mike Posner really carries a huge message for folks all around the world. Many young people nowadays suffer from mental health issues such as depression, comparing themselves to others, low self-esteem, needless desire to be seen and noted. And all of these problems come from social networks as they want us to be perfect, post only our good photos and always compare our life with others. So, we lose our true selves and become vulnerable. As Mike says us, let's be who we really are. Let's quit Instagram, Facebook or whatever you use to spend your precious time on trying to be someone else. Instead, let's find ourselves, live a full life and be happy! For the past 2 years, I quitted Facebook and VK, and about a month I don't use Instagram. And you know what? I am really grateful for myself to this decision and more than ever satisfied with myself. I can now focus not on someone's life but my own and things that matter to me. I spend my free time on sports and to my family which I wouldn't probably do when I'm just surfing the internet. So, guys, I really hope we can avoid the stress that we face every day by the social network and be ourselves. Happy to share my experience and idea with you, and thanks for Mike for such a great message!

I lost my mother almost two years ago. I continue to remind myself that I just need to be the man my mother would approve of. This song fucked me up the first time I heard it but it has an amazing message that all young ones should hear.
When I was going through a really rough time I listened to this whole album on reply drove from Virginia to Washington state in my old Mercedes. By far one of my best road trips. This music helped this combat vet find the help I needed. Thank you
Mike, love what you’re doing with your awareness challenges and your appetite for life and experience, but remember we need you to still make songs like this from time to time haha. This song alone has helped who knows how many thousands of people. We love you and we appreciate everything you do. Hope you see this.
This is a beautiful song. Wish I could "always go to my mother" and have her understanding. I'm thankful for the relationship I do have with her, but I pray it gets better. I pray this for anyone else with a struggling relationship with their parents(s.)✨ Amen
Amen brother Mike. Everybody goes threw stuff and everybody makes mistakes. Everybody will hit rock bottom some point in your life. Some peoples rock bottom is deeper then others but it's what you learn threw it that matters the most! Its not always about being better or louder then someone else, sometimes it better to just keep to yourself and keep focused on yourself! Love you Mike!
I love this. So inspiring- My school is the BEST thing that's ever happened to me. Even then, some catty, horrible jerk always has to remind me that there's something wrong with who I am- Be it hairy arms, a big nose, klutziness, ect, there's ALWAYS someway they find to hurt me. But then there's this song, reminding me I shouldn't care. That there's as much good in me as there are my mistakes, and that I'm fine how I am. Thank you, Mike posner!
This is the best of them all.. sent this to my mom.. my first inpatient was at 18. Second at 22. In November. This gives me chills. Everything is connected.

How?? Seriously how?? This song came out in 2015 and only one million views? The best decision I ever made was slowing down, building up my self worth and truly understanding happiness/appreciation for everything in life. I’m not successful yet, but even in failure Im happier than most around me. Its a really sad time to see so many people who are prisoners of todays society, not understanding whats causing them to feel worthless. Pushing your mind to think more positive every day, putting yourself in other peoples shoes when all you can think about are your own issues, and going to sleep truly thankful for everything you were blessed with that day will change your life. Its like going to the gym for your brain/soul. But people only care about instant or visual results in todays world (money, cars, muscles, followers). All thats good, but without the right mindset, its worthless.

Happy Mothers day my son sent this to me years ago still enjoying God bless
Virginia Woolf and poetry
No one seemed to notice me
Being young was getting so old
Cheap beer and cigarettes
Life was like a movie set
And I seemed to be given no role
But in times of trouble
I can turn to my mother
And I know that she gon' understand
So at age 18
I cried to my mother
And she told me, "young man"
"There are moments when you fall to the ground
But you are stronger than you feel you are now
You don't always have to speak so loud, no
Just be as you are
Life is not always a comfortable ride
Everybody's got scars that they hide
And everybody plays the fool sometimes, yeah
Just be as you are"
They played me on the radio
And everything was changing, so
I thought I was all the way grown
But I can still remember in that cold November
When I realized I'm all alone
But in times of trouble
I can turn to my mother
And I know that she gon' understand
So at age 22
I cried to my mother
And she told me, "young man"
"There are moments when you fall to the ground
But you are stronger than you feel you are now
You don't always have to speak so loud, no
Just be as you are
It doesn't matter if you become some star
Life is better when you open your heart
You don't always have to act so hard, no
Just be as you are (Just be as you are)"
Be as you are (Whoa)
Be as, be as you are (Be as you are)
Be as you are
(Be as you are) Be as, be as you are
If I'm speaking truthfully
I'm not who I used to be
And I know some people might laugh
'Cause my music doesn't sound the same
And my head's no longer shaved
I'm worried if I'm on the right path
But in times of trouble
I can turn to my mother
And I know that she gon' understand
So at age 26
I spoke to my mother
And she told me, "young man"
"There are moments when you fall to the ground
But you are stronger than you feel you are now
You don't always have to speak so loud, no
Just be as you are
It doesn't matter if you become some star
Life is better when you open your heart
You don't always have to act so hard, no
Just be as you are (Be as you are)"
Be as you are (Be as you are)
Be as, be as you are (Be as you are)
Be as you are (Be as you are)
Be as, be as you are
Be as you are

Mike Posner. The lyrical genius spitting the TRUTH of our generation. Love this guy.
This is easily #1 motivational music
Amen brother Mike. Everybody goes threw stuff and everybody makes mistakes. Everybody will hit rock bottom some point in your life. Some peoples rock bottom is deeper then others but it's what you learn threw it that matters the most! Its not always about being better or louder then someone else, sometimes it better to just keep to yourself and keep focused
on yourself! Love you Mike!
stay strong to those who lost their mothers
🙏❤
I'm trying
8 years later and it still makes me feel… something splendid! I call that real art. Thank you!
Essa música apareceu no momento exato da minha vida, transmitiu aquilo que meu coração está sentindo. Thank you life 🇧🇷❤️
I love this.
I just heard this song a week ago, so late but so happy! Message received 😌

Whenever I feel down, this is one of the songs what makes me soldier on.
Virgina Woolf and poetry
No one seemed to notice me
Being young was getting so old
Cheap beer and Cigarettes
Life was like a movie set
And I seemed to be given no role
But in times of trouble
I can turn to my mother
And I know that she gon' understand
So at age 18
I cried to my mother
And she told me, "young man"
There are moments when you fall to the ground
But you are stronger than you feel you are now
You don't always have to speak so loud, no
Just be as you are
Life is not always a comfortable ride
Everybody's got scars that they hide
And everybody plays the fool sometimes, yeah
Just be as you are"
They played me on the radio
And everything was changing, so
I thought I was all the way grown
But I can still remember in that cold November
When I realized I'm all alone
But in times of trouble
I can turn to my mother
And I know that she gon' understand
So at age 22
I cried to my mother
And she told me, "young man"
There are moments when you fall to the ground
But you are stronger than you feel you are now
You don't always have to speak so loud, no
Just be as you are
It doesn't matter if you become some star
Life is better when you open your heart
You don't always have to act so hard, no
Just be as you are"
If I'm speaking truthfully
I'm not who I used to be
And I know some people might laugh
Cause my music doesn't sound the same
And my head's no longer shaved
I'm worried if I'm on the right path
But in times of trouble
I can turn to my mother
And I know that she gon' understand
So at age 26
I spoke to my mother
And she told me, "young man"
"There are moments when you fall to the ground
But you are stronger than you feel you are now
You don't always have to speak so loud, no
Just be as you are
It doesn't matter if you become some star
Life is better when you open your heart
You don't always have to act so hard, no
Just be as you are"
Be as you are
One thing that I respect is that you dont have to create explicit videos in order to pass a point
All thats good, but without the right mindset, its worthless.
why do his songs always push me into a *mood*. damn that's talent
