Unfortunately, there’s no one-size-fit-all approach when it comes to individualized health care or personalized health care while everyone or every group is trying to find that model to take credit knowing there are so many variables.
Some use eGFR based, some KFRE bases, some as mentioned now using both KFRE and eGFR, and some using combination of all available data: both clinical and laboratory based.
One may need to consider and include another prediction factors in those assessment models regarding vascular surgery expert availability and accessibility in timely manner in each circumstance and locality especially in less developed countries or in not-easy-to-access healthcare facilities.
