  • An absolutely angelic, almost religious experience as we are shown how blades of grass, corn, and bounty of the earth are transformed to MEAT! Discover the secret of life, how are cells are replaced, and meat helps this process. The narration is a bit over the top, possibly even for 1950, but this is an entertaining time capsule from, who else, The American Meat Institute!
This film shows the raising of cattle, sheep, and pigs. Off to the Stockyards by train, then to the slaughterhouse to create steaks, chops, and sausage. Byproducts create everything from insulin to glue, shoes, and basketballs. Your friendly butcher is there to help, by offering your family life saving MEAT! From the farmer, to the stock yards, to the meat plant, and beyond. The meat packing industry 70 years ago, supplying meat to the housewives of America. Shows the stockyards operation in full detail. Mastered from a 16mm Kodachrome film.

Soap factories were based in Chicago, because that's where the big slaughterhouses were. Animal fats are used to make soap. Chicago was also a big radio-production hub (3rd, after NYC and Los Angeles) for soap operas, sponsored by the big soap companies.

Narrated by Michael Rye {Rye Billsbury}, a veteran actor/announcer who was also the voice of the animated "LONE RANGER" in 1966.

Read Dr Paul Saladino's 📖 The carnivore Code. Ruminants are not the problem. Concentrated feedlots are the problem, not pasture, prairie bison and elk

Then you'll find Sinclair's book, "The Jungle" a real horror story. Which it is. It exposed the meat-packing industry in the early 20th century.
You'd better take Jello off your menu too. Gelatin is made by boiling hooves.

@@OofusTwillip Ugh I don't eat Jello. "There are eight million hamburgers in the naked city. I ate just one of them."
