I really admire artists in general, but I especially admire artists who work with garbage/recycling material. So cool!

    Absolutely love this!
The only issue is that cement is a tremendous green house gas emitter, so it would be great if it could be replaced by a more environmentally harmless substance. Of course there’s a very small amount being used for these art projects.

I could be mistaken, but I think I saw this video at least 3 years ago, a college class????
It’s such a beautiful art installation that you’ll see how quickly the kids stop & get off their bikes!! How lucky for everyone who comes across it!!!

I am charmed that her name is the same as a famous sculptor, Alexander Calder. It guides her path ❤

Wow, I love Crafts in America. There haven't been any new shows lately. But this 1 I haven't seen, I assume it's new. This is absolutely beautiful and a wonderful idea. I wish I had this kind of talent 2 recycle my garbage.

Nice nod to Thomas Dambo and his giant trolls made from pallet wood. He also made many fanciful sculptures from plastic trash as part of large, festive event spaces in his native Denmark. I love Calder's work!

I am also an artist who uses waste to create. Unfortunately recycling is not the answer. The only way to end plastic waste is to stop creating it or greatly reduce it at the manufacturing level.

This of course seems all well and good. With everything she makes, I can imagine her pieces eventually ending up in the “trash” some where at some time. In my humble opinion, you are decorating a beautiful naturally made forest with man made trash, whether you think you are recycling or not. Mardi Gras beads in a tree? No.
