Looking so much better! Glad you and your family are back at keeping hiking going. Drink lots, try and stay cool (its 94 in Putnam County GA now). Glad your back.
It is really dangerous to hike at that temperature. The trails are closed in Phoenix at 110. People die trying to hike in that temperature. Not drinking water makes it even worse. Please don't do this.
Absolutely agree! I live in the Coachella Valley where a couple were just airlifted after falling ill. Our local news is constantly reminding us that no matter the experience, do not hike in high heat.
Good for Sally! You'll have to be her trainer! I would love to watch her hike the AT! I would have to jump in that lake with that heat! Great to see you!
I hiked the perimeter of a contained golf course in Mesquite,Nev. in 115 D temp. Without water I began to panic after 1hour. Thankfully I completed the loop in 70minutes and immediately bought chilled water at Wal-Mart. Always carry water.
So great to see you #2 Pencil!!
Congratulations 🎉to Sally. Wishing her happy and safe training.
Ps One of my favorite sounds, the crunch of the trail.
So good to see you and doing good. I for sure will watch your sister-in-law hike the AT. Happy Hiking ⛺️🏔️🥾
