Elliott, the Curacao footage was just georgeous!! The water was so blue and those turtles were amaaaazing. So sorry you had to experience that panic attack. They are never fun. I used to get them when I would travel frequently for business. So glad to hear you are doing well now. You and Matt are so blessed to have each other for companionship and support (and Favor and Maureen, too ;) Love to you from across the pond in the wonderfully peaceful highlands of southwestern Wisconsin. What a overwhelming experience! Such beauty. Am so sorry about the panic attack, glad you was in good hands! If you are not use to swimming under water, my friends, who swim slot barrier reefs and such, tell me that panic attacks after can happen as the body needs to adjust to being on land and such. My friend said what a sensitive soul, their bodies have the most trouble switching back, after hearing your story.
The turtle video was great, glad you got over the panic attack, I was the same as you, when I had one, I didn't know what it was either. It really is scary, glad you are feeling better.
Oh WOW What an amazing experience you had with them beautiful turtles , I could imagine you thinking and saying to them , " you are so gorgeous " lol And i hope the panic attack was a one off ,And that you will never have another one x
I had a panic attack at the Grand Canyon a few years ago a horrible experience but I can tell it hasn’t happened since. Turtles were amazing x

Hi Elliot. I had to comment on your panic attack. I think it was hyper ventilation from snorkelling! I've seen this before. Going from the low level air breathing through a snorkel and then getting out of the water and being able to suddenly raise your air levels can cause this. Our daughter's boyfriend had this happen once. He was on the point of collapse, couldn't feel his hands or feet and was having such strong muscle spasms we had to call an ambulance because we thought he was having some kind of seizure. It's quite frightening but the medics got him to do the paper bag breathing trick (which is also used for panic attacks) and he soon improved. I'd never seen it before but I've heard about it from others since. Moral of the story must be always carry a paper bag! Take care you two! ☺️

great fun! love the turtles. I'm with matt, I hate caves. and water IN caves......BTW, matt, lookin good!!! the gym is paying off! Elliot...I am sure it was just a panic attack. but maybe a good checkup with attention to your blood pressure and heart is in order. just being a good nurse, and mother hen here!

So sorry to hear about the panic attack. I echo another comment on here that it was likely due to the oxygen level change from snorkelling and was most probably a one off due to that. Turtles look amazing !!
