I can deal with linear horror games but as soon as you introduce a dynamic NPC that actually chases me around I fail to function out of fear and will never progress. This game would literally execute me.

They say it’s either fight or flight as a response to fear but for people like me and you I just freeze up in fear or jump and my heart tenses. It feels like my heart is beating out of my chest if I do manage to start running away though. I’m the type to just cry out of pure fear.
@@noranokia2904 Not just fight or flight it's (Fight, Flight, Freeze, or Fawn) it's just that "fight or flight" tends to be catchy and what people remember not to mention it's probably the most common reactions

it was annoying me how many people were calling the game trash because this is one of my favorite horror games ever made

its a fantastic horror game and it pains me that he called it trash because he sprinted constantly directly after the game tells him that it gets Angier after you sprint

Usually horror games get less scary the more you play them, but remembering how he was during the puppetcombo era makes me think that it's the opposite for him
I mean, in a game like this you're not really scared of the enemy or the environments, but instead scared of losing progress, and considering the game gets more difficult (more progress to lose) it gets more scary.

here are some tips I found for hide and seek:
1. When 'your it' take it slow, having the monster be 'it' is horrible for your longevity, so try not to sprint much and look around corners VERY slowly.
2. When the monster is it/seaking you, don't run ever. the monster can hear you so running around like an upstairs neighbor isn't helping. Also, find places to quickly and QUIETLY loop around, staying out of sight is imperative to surviving this and so is being able to do so quickly. Move around corners, pillars, boxes you name it, watever you do just stay out of sight.
3. when it does find you PICK YOUR FAT ASS UP AND RUN!!! No joke, once found the monster will move faster than you, crashing though everything trying to get you but crashing though walls does seem to slow it down. So, once spotted, get up, turn your flashlight on and get as much distance and wall between yourselves as posable and just try to wait it out(oh yeah once spotted you CAN wait him out, its just a long time surviving its chase).
4. You got got, your raging, your mad, what do you do? I suggest taking a step back and think about what went wrong. if your too angry or scared to think however, go get a drink, it helps calm you down before going back in.

@@koifish528 yes, you can just see him run aimlessly (sort of) without showing sign of stopping when he needs to take his *"time"* I mean look at him in the Hide and seek mode. He didn't even bother to try to look back his mistakes.
Him not getting the most simple mechanic: 😲
XQC is never gonna read this but I'll put this here for anyone reading this comment. Once the monster gets spotted and is "it", he wanders around the map to look for you. Eventually, however, if you evaded him for long enough he eventually turns on his hacker glasses and will just go straight to where you are, so trying as hard as you can to not spot him in the first place is your best bet but sometimes he'll be cheesy with where he spawns and will activate.

I can't believe this game didn't blow up earlier. The sounds are so good and difficulty is very well balanced
its usually marketing and if its catchy or popular/trending. Believe it or not there are tons of games that are wayy better than AAA trash and don't see the light of day

It’s a scary game
Still kinda annoys me that he died time and time again only to completely ignore the guide the game provides, which would've explained the mechanic he was confused about. It's whatever though, I enjoyed the Living Walls section of the game though, even though it kicked my ass even with the guide.

seeing someone else play a game and playing for yourself is two different experiences. Playing this by myself I literally have to force myself to play it since its so scary, but when I see xqc play it I'm laughing most of the time.
I've played the game. as soon as I saw him start running in the hide and seek game mode, I just knew what's gonna happen and it made me so uneasy.
I've had literal nightmares of being trapped in mazes like this in pitch blackness with something shrieking and stomping after me from far away, only for me to see something with no face jump on me. This game is nuts.
FINALLY, I'VE KNOWN THIS GAME FOR SO LONG, THIS NEEDS TO GET REAL ATTENTION.

I love how they used the scares. It isn't one of the cheap BOO HAHA GOT U. It's more of those. You know it's there you know it's behind you. You always half expect it. it is not instant that is one of the things that makes it good. It feels instant because most ppl just run and then you run into it.
Mostly of why he died was probably not reading the guide on the hide and seek level or started dping attention to what the game says

Ok, so what I got from the last part is that if you actually hide, there's a delay before the monster chases you, but if you are running and the monster is near, you will immediately go into chase mode.
They encountered the spider and they never actually saw it. Funny

The game actively kills you for trying to run through the maze and speed run it, you only run when you are being chased otherwise all you need to do is take it slow there's a reason on your first death because you ran says "I hate it when you run"
