  • Yeah, you read that correctly. I impulsively adopted a dog in college without knowing what I was getting into. Was it a good decision? That's a good question. Let's discuss that in this video, AND here are some ways that a dog has changed my life.
    1. A dog changed up my lifestyle. Having a dog made me so much more aware of the lifestyle that I was living and what I needed to do to properly accommodate a dog.
    2. I find myself in a more positive mood. My dog does super stupid things, like burping like a man. It's funny.
    3. I'm a lot more aware of myself and a lot more stable as a person. It's taught me different ways of approaching situations because you're interacting with a different species that doesn't communicate the same way that we do. It opens your mind up.
    4. It's a great excuse to get out of things. Don't wanna hang out with your friend for super long? "Oh, sorry. I have to go feed my dogs."
    5. It helps boost your mood when you first get home and a creature is bouncing off the walls and running with excitement, JUST because you got home. Unconditional love, yo. They don't care whether you had a great day or a bad day. They just wanna love ya.
Let me know what you think of this editing style, too!

Its not always wrong to bring it back. Most people don't mention the fact that a dog can actually be unhappy in the environment they are in after they get adopted because the people in the home can give the dog anxiety. It's not always so simple. Sometimes its good to give up the dog if they are clearly unhappy and could use better attention from owners who can dedicated more time to them.

The part where you said you thought about returning him but you didn’t because “that’s just wrong, you just don’t do that. It’s a commitment”. My respect to you ✊

I personally find that humans generally cannot give unconditional love. Their so called "love" has a time limit like a loaf of bread, it expires.
I have a lot more respect for animals.

This is a great video. I have a 2 month puppy, - German shepherd and mallinois. I’m in school and I work full time. He’s biting me really hard, and because I’m in school my time is strappped. I wish I thought more about this. He’s still growing so I really wonder if a family that’s in a better place can take him.

Honestly it's a challenging decision to make. 😕 I really didn't know what I was getting into when I got him. Unfortunately my little guy is no longer with me (he got congestive heart failure very suddenly) but he is definitely one of the best things that ever happened to me. How is your puppy doing?

@@OriginalDante Thanks for your reply! Is the dog you’re referring to the one in the video? I’m so sorry for your loss. You definitely inspired us with him, this video inspired me to not give up on my dog.
My puppy is now 4 months,we’re in puppy training school, and he’s been being a good boy, I’m just learning patience/commitment, he is definitely opening up my heart lol.

Nah, but nice vid man. My dog passed while I was in college. I still wake up in the middle of the night sometimes and wonder if I've fed them. That responsibility really does stick with you man. I think I directed that over to my plants now. I like the style man. It's more "a day in the life." Although I was half expecting you to hit an alarm clock at some point. lol!

😂 I don't want to get to the "hitting alarm clock" phase of UA-cam. But yeah, once you get dogs, it changes your life. Totally changes it.

Nice not only did you get a dog from a breeder instead of adopting but you didn’t do an research to know you were responsible enough to take care of a dog congrats you’re a shitty person

Y’all she has the self awareness at 13 to know that the dog needs more than her family can provide. This is a very responsible decision and now a lesson has been learned.
Parin- maybe when you’re older and your family is on board then you can try again. Puppies are a TON of work, so I suggest adopting an adult dog from a shelter. Good luck to you
