“Take it any way he can get it”… nope, sorry Gary is one of the most honest guys with his truck tuned well and doesn’t break like many others and all consistently. Gary was in my opinion the best overall driver out there. I’m glad he beat crybaby. I remember this event as a kid on tv.
I noticed that too. Maybe they were at another TNT event or back in the shop in Spring Lake, Minnesota repairing the truck cause it always seemed like almost every show, USA-1 with either Rod Litzau or Steve Wilke driving, flipped while in it.
Also, this track didn't suit USA-1 well because of the turn at the end of the track. The truck, believe it or not, actually doesn't have rear steering.

@@dwp139 The truck did have a rear-steering axle as seen in Toledo 1988, it just usually wasn't equipped. I'm not sure if they still have it since Everett advocated for non-turning courses, but they did indeed have the capability for rear steer if they needed it.
LOL!! Todays teens and young adults would collapse on the floor cryin' if they had to wait 4 to 6 weeks for delivery, like we had to. xD
We still have to wait that long for rebate cards to come in the mail. By the time they come I’ve forgotten about it.
Monster trucks doing this kind of circuit is far more exciting that racing in a straight line (which I also like). Thanks for sharing it.
I love the music playing during Mr Sparkle's replay
Lol that guy on the tractor just chilling as he got hit. 15:57

Why are they filming the crowd when they should be filming the final of the monster trucks. Film the trucks not the crowd.
Wow the early monster trucks we clumsy and cumbersome and they looked like a rough handful to drive.
why was the guy in the grooming tractor sitting at the end of the track smh
The Michigan Twister Mini Rod came one year later over to Germany and ran as Joker very sucssesfull vor many years.
Scott always was trying to cut corners, this time literally!
Are you going to post these in order or the races ?
so many people walking around on the floor, safety was not a big big concern back then lol
Any Info on the music starting at 16:16?
It's the opening song from There Goes a Fire Truck!
In 2000 The Tuff e Nuff Mini Rod was also sold to Germany and ran as Hot Chilly

Won in Nashville 89 both days, and Stafford Springs 1990

Odd how USA-1 never competed at the Astrodome.

@@Kouvre it doesn't have it now, I can confirm that
Uh it TNN not TNT lol
It's a TNT event on TNN.
+MTuncensored it just said "you're watching TNN" dumbass
+13Dixiefried it's a TNT event which was aired on TNN. TNT is the event promoter.
+Paul Costantini Kodiak was the sponsor. Inlaws and Outlaws was the name Jim ran before he even had a major sponsor.
+MTuncensored oh didn't know that even when I watched it when it originally aired on TV
