Animals are so much smarter and adaptable than people give them credit for. My sixteen year old cat, Fiona, recently had a stroke. It left her blind. Snapping my fingers, voice cues and patting my hand on surfaces safe to jump up on have given her enough confidence to move around without the cries of fear that we went through during the first day. She uses her hearing, sense of smell, whiskers and paws to touch, and her memory of patterns of movement is impressive. The first 36 hours were chaotic. Then it all just clicked and she is doing so well.

Boer goats are the all time sweetest goats. My grand daughter raised a young gilt for ffa but couldn't finish that season and she asked if her big boy Hiro could come live at grandma's farm. I was thrilled to have him... going on 2nd year now the big issue will be giving him back because he is my cuddle goat baby lol. I'm disabled with mobility issues and Hito is my service goat lol.
