It's still crowded It's just a different crowd. Mostly seniors but you can go to late dinners because they all go for the "early bird" specials. Returants are slow after 7.
I went to VA beach this September and the oceanfront was ruined by heavy development and heavy taxes through parking. The prices for the quality is ridiculous. The outer banks is much better. Family biking is easy with weekly bike rates even with pull behind for kids. I saw your biking video and it seems like Myrtle is not very family biking friendly. Generally I only do beach vacations in September. I try to find an Arbnb on the ocean but in a place we can bike to the main parts avoiding heavy parking fees. Any videos on that particularly staying close enough to bike and which areas to avoid as far as an Arbnb is concerned?
Based on your entire comment, I would recommend you look into somewhere in Surfside Beach. You could stay at an Airbnb slightly inland as long as you stay east of Kings Highway. Regardless of where you stay in this area, there's no guarantee of safety biking.
Good afternoon Carmen, I will be traveling to Myrtle Beach from Ontario, Canada from Sep 7th until Sep 15th. Looking at the long range forecast it appears there will be cloud cover and rain. Do you mind if I ask if the precipitation is constant throughout the day? This will be my first time traveling in September. I typically travel there in early May and Mid-august. There's no way to know for sure, but it's usually not constant unless it's some kind of tropical storm, depression, or hurricane. But there's no guarantees either way We hope you have a great trip!

So glad you enjoy the videos! I doubt you will see too many bikers in Cherry Grove. That festival is concentrated south in murrells Inlet but it definitely spills over into Myrtle Beach and you may see a few bikes.
we came to garden city in 17 18 and 19 and the prices were at least a 3rd less the weather was great all the years with almost zero rain. only negative was the traffic on 521 378 and 26 was rediculus so we have not come then again but the beach are was perfect and so was the water temp

I didn’t realize that it will be bike week when we are going g to be there. September 28th - October 5th. Will it be crazy in Myrtle or just in Murrells Inlet? And hopefully no hurricanes.
It can spill over into Myrtle Beach, but it's concentrated in murrells inlet. Also the fall rally seems smaller than the spring rally from our personal experience. Have a great trip!

Those are seashells in the sand. Some days they wash up and some days they don't, really depends on currents and tides. We were just north of the skywheel on the boardwalk.

We have been to a bunch of the aynor harvest hoedown festivals and parades. After the parade, walk over to the festival. It's free to enter. Lots of food and local vendors. The aynor parade along with the Conway Christmas parade are just fun to watch. Aynor also hosts the bog fest, which is also fun. Go if you're hungry. Resorts keep their pools open through October generally.
