  • Brassicas are a family of plants that include cauliflower, broccoli, sprouts, cabbage and more. They all have similar preferences to bed preparation and suffer from slugs and cabbage white butterfly laying eggs. These eggs hatch into caterpillars which eat the plants. In this video I show how I set up the beds and enclosure to protect the plants as much as possible.

I really need to do this on my hoops to keep it all neat. Cabbage Whites are persistamt pests so your diligence is good advice

Hi Jase, I use beer traps and it's amazing how many you get. the garden shuffle is a good work out for the calves 🙂,I've had a poor germination from a cabbage variety, going to sow more tomorrow as back up, see you on your live. Steve Colwell

      Hi Steve
I find beer traps the most effective and economical. Just got to deplete the bugers before planting out. See you later.

Hi Lorriane. oh no. Check under the pots/trays and stagging in the greenhouse. They hide in the day and come out at night and eat your plants.
