@@BustaShenanigans def, but KG focuses a lot on acoustic music. i think it's cool how they mix rock music and folk/world music but make it psychedelic too
Thanks for sharing this. I just saw them opening for Khruangbin in Portland ME last week. As usual, the sound guys decided to up the bass freqs by 30db. This has always been a thing, I guess, for reasons I do not understand. Kikagaku Moyo was great live, but I'm so glad to have vids like this one to listen to them as they should be heard.
It's all subjective. I don't get jazz. I don't get this. Yh, there was a lot of bandwagon generic pun, but there was a lot of groundbreaking stuff too. This isn't.
@@cptspaulding64 this isn't groundbreaking or anything. these guys do border on jazzy jams sometimes. It can be a bit boring to the outside ear. I really like this stuff when I'm stoned.

These guys are the best phych band out atm
No less coming from Japan.
Very good, not the best IMO. Too mellow, or maybe I prefer acid rock?
@@billsmart2532 wouldn't acid rock be considered psych music???
Them and King Gizz imo

Love the concert but the ad placement on this video is AWFUL

What effect does that have on the live sound? Does it just make the signal sound muddy and indiscernible?
@@rolandramirez4557 Yeah, that's basically it, just a washed out thumping sound
William Moser gotcha. Yeah common showbiz shit I think. Can’t outshine the headliners. Some groups are cool about that shit though
I was at this show, and I just saw them again a couple weeks ago in San Diego with Minami Deutsch. They just keep getting better and better.
Saw them on the same tour line up in the midwest. Absolutely incredible live performance by some kick ass bands straight outta Tokyo.
@@aetafgbv I agree. I'm looking forward to some other bands from gurugurubrain touring the US.

💕
Just perfect. Must explore more ♥️
No Bassist? Surprised - 21:40 could do with an Ozric's style drop into a complicated crescendo
The bassist is always hidden at the back right of the drums. You can see the bass at 1:09:09 and 1:09:44. Believe it.
Isn't this the reason we got punk rock?
this is the best of both worlds though
Yeah but most punk is boring and uninteresting. These Japanese trippers are exploring more than a punk can comprehend

@@cptspaulding64 I do like some punk, it just doesn't peak my interest as much as psych rock
