Thanks for all the info. South west ga keeper here. Hope to figure out the polination route. Still a major hobbie keeper, made it to around 200 now down to 143. Doing oa trratments now. Thanks for posting your info.
So will you be moving brood to strengthen the weak ones? Will that give you enough to fill another semi? Are there other smaller beekeepers with hives that you could co-op with?
@@rtxhoneybees I still haven't finished my second round of grading all the hives so I have to do that before I make any decisions. If I need to I will definitely move brood around to boost my hive numbers. There are other beekeepers that can combine with me or I can even combine with someone else but it's too early to make that call yet. I usually start preparing a little on the early side. A lot of beekeepers in my area don't start grading until January.
I watched a video on the state of commercial beekeeping and the California Almond pollination. It doesn't look like there are going to be enough hives this year. ua-cam.com/video/DI4SBYvV9z8/v-deo.html
@@LittleRiverBees-or6qp Yeah I've been hearing the same thing. Florida lost something like a quarter million hives from the two major hurricanes we had this year from what I've heard.
Nice video. Thank ya.
Not sure why you videos aren't popular, Tons of good info!
I am backyard beekeeper and had not watched many commercial keepers, subbed now, keep them coming!
@@phillipriggs3375 Thank you!!
