    The University of Arizona James E. Rogers College of Law is pleased to invite you to a lunchtime lecture with James S. Rogers ('72). From 2014-23, the Law Offices of James S. Rogers was selected by U.S. News & World Report and Best Lawyers as a Tier 1 law firm for Seattle's Best Law Firms in Plaintiffs Product Liability and Personal Injury Litigation.

    About James S. Rogers
    James S. Rogers is the principal lawyer in Seattle's Law Offices of James S. Rogers. His practice is limited to serious injury and wrongful death litigation, with an emphasis on product liability, automotive product liability, and significant tort litigation.
    Rogers is a Fellow of the American College of Trial Lawyers, a Fellow of the International Academy of Trial Lawyers (Board of Directors; Trustee of the IATL Foundation), a Fellow of the International Society of Barristers, a member of the American Board of Trial Advocates (President, 2007, Washington State Chapter, and former national board member). He is a member and past president of the Damage Attorneys Round Table (DART), an invitational honorary of Washington's premier plaintiffs trial lawyers.
    Rogers was selected as Best Lawyers® 2015, 2018, and 2020 Seattle Plaintiffs Product Liability Litigation "Lawyer of the Year" and was selected as Best Lawyers® 2021 Seattle Plaintiffs Personal Injury Litigation "Lawyer of the Year."
    Rogers has been selected for inclusion in the 2003-24 editions of "The Best Lawyers in America" (Product Liability and Personal Injury).
    Rogers has served as president of the Washington State Trial Lawyers Association (now WSAJ) and the Western Trial Lawyers Association. He was a nine-year member of the Board of Governors of the Association of Trial Lawyers of America (now AAJ). He is on the Board of Directors of the Attorneys' Information Exchange Group, a national organization of plaintiffs attorneys handling automotive product liability and other litigation.
    Rogers is on the Advisory Council of the Endowment for Equal Justice, which is the long¬ term funding source for legal aid in Washington.
    In 2023, Rogers was honored with the Law College Association Award at his alma mater, the University of Arizona College of Law.
    Rogers is certified as a Civil Trial Advocate by the National Board of Trial Advocacy. He has lectured at well over one hundred legal seminars sponsored by state and national trial lawyers and bar associations.
    Rogers was Editor-in-Chief of Anatomy of a Personal Injury Lawsuit, 3rd Edition; published by ATLA Press, and was co-moderator with Kathleen Flynn Peterson, of Anatomy of a Personal Injury Lawsuit: The Video Series.
    Articles by Rogers have appeared in many legal publications. He is co-author of "Civil Rule 30(b)(6) Depositions," published in the Washington State Association for Justice Product Liability Deskbook, 2nd Edition, 2020, and co-author of "Identifying the Automotive Product Liability Case within the Automobile Collision Case," published in the Washington State Association for Justice Washington Motor Vehicle Litigation Deskbook, 3rd Edition, 2018.
