My dad actually just explained this to me the other day because he is OBSESSED with Brandon Sanderson. The random narrator is actually a very important and relevant character in one of the other series because basically all of his books are connected in one big universe. Crazy stuff.
So happy you loved Tress! The narrator is a character from other Brandon Sanderson books, so people who have read more by him probably liked that aspect more. I personally loved his use of the second person perspective because it makes me feel like I’m part of the story. And I absolutely loved the randomness. It made me so happy! That book is such a vibe!
I feel you on having wayyy too many books on my physical TBR, it’s getting close to 150 😳 So glad you loved Tress! I thought it was a great mix of plot and vibes but I can see where you’re coming from with the plot stuff. Tress is a favorite fictional character of mine, I related to her a lot!! And also, the narrator is a character from the Cosmere who shows up in almost every other Brandon Sanderson book (which I didn’t know before reading Tress but now I know who he is because I’ve read more Cosmere books)!
Glad you liked assassin’s blade! It just hits you harder as you read the rest of the series😭 I really like how sjm planned how past characters and references get introduced slowly throughout the series. Hope you enjoy the rest!
I'm so glad you included Tress in thsi video! I'm about 1/2 way through right now and I agree you on everything, especially the comments about POV. I was so confused when we started getting Hoid's POV but apparently he's narrating the whole time? 😅
Ahh Im so excited for you to start ToG! Ive personally read Assasins Blade as 4th book and I loved it that way - since I was already connected to Cealena, I knew a bit about her story and the ending was much more heartbreaking that way. But its a personal choice and doesnt matter in the end. Tog is pretty much very hyped but to warn you: the first books are slightly... different than the rest of the series (like the series starts with one person POV while in the next ones we have more and more POV's) and if you feel like its not really it at the beginning - just dont stop reading. I LOVED Throne of Glass and would give so much to read it for the first time again, however, it took me a year to finish it. The first 3 books + AB took me most of it and then from Queen of Shadows Ive read it all in like a month. So yea Be prepared!
Ohhh I'm nervous to start TOG - the amount of books is intimidating to me lol - so I'm so excited that you're starting it! It might give me the push I need to get going on it.
Really enjoyed Tress took me a couple of chapters to get into the humor. Sanderson said he took inspo from the princess bride and that helped click it for me. I hated the audiobook! Which I listened to with my husband after I read it
guurl in Tress the random character is Hoid, you get to know him in other Brandon Sanderson books, if you havent read any it would be difficult to understand everything
What page number is that quote you read from Tress? I've read that book and I agree, it has some profound things to say. I don't remember that quote though, but I love it!
Brandon Sanderson saying that starting the cosmere with tress, is one of the things I disagree with. You will be real confused unless you know about Hoid an a dew other things about the cosmere.
@Elsa-tx5lw wither MIstborn the final Empire, or Warbreaker if you are looking to get into the cosmere. However he has non cosmere works that are apparently just as good as his main universe. Hope this helps!

Would you mind sharing where you purchased your “Not because I have to, but because I love you” sweatshirt?
It’s from a brand called Redwall vintage!
What page number is that quote you read from Tress? I've read that book and I agree, it has some profound things to say. I don't remember that quote though, but I love it!
if it helps make you feel better, I'm pretty sure I have about 800 on my physical TBR....🙈
Just for fun I checked how many physical unread books I have on my tbr and I almost fell off my chair when I counted 292😭
It’s a ✨collection✨😂

Redwall vintage! You can find them online or on IG!(:

helloooo, so if someone have not read anything from Sanderson - where would you say they should begin?😊
