      @@SuperChoronzon Why does anything need to be sung for a song to be good? Some of the best music ever does not even remotely feature the human voice.

      @@dylanb3988 Yea, they're usually called "instrumentals", or at the most basic level, a "Tune", cos if there ain't no words, it's not a "Song"... is the point
      A "Song", is sung, by a singer... get it ?

    I love the title of this song, “Hands”. This song is sort of all over the place, yet organized. Just like a human hand. From pushing sleep on an alarm, to twisting the shower knobs to cleanse and awake us, getting dressed, to filling up a cup of coffee, stumbling out the door and then doing all that every one of us humans do at work and keep the world turning.

  • @bot_jess

    this makes so much sense. everything's strange at first, nothing makes sense. then there's some structure and balance and you get into the rhythm of things. there's still crazy ambiance going on, but it seems to fit. you finally get into the swing of things. then the rhythm escapes you. like all things, it ends. just because it has an ending doesn't mean we shouldn't enjoy it at all. everything ends. it's the journey to the end that matters.

    @shinrainc00 The Album is all white and has "Canine Heart Sounds" printed on the front. It was realeased by some vetrinary association. The First few heart beats go on for a couple of minutes or so, but there are 20 or 30 different heart sounds from dogs with murmurs and palpitations as well. In this song he uses the sample from a healthy dog, but the unhealthy sounds can be fucking cool sounding. I tried looking on amazon, but only found a used one for 95 bucks. I stumbled on a lucky find.

  • @ClowdyHowdy
    @ClowdyHowdy 14 років тому +1

    NO WAY! AWESOME! The heart beat sample from the beginning is a dogs heart beat recorded and pressed onto vinyl to share with veterinarians as examples of different murmurs. I just picked it up at my local thrift shop and thought it was awesome. What a coincidence that I happen to find this song!

    Yeh man sure! Well I'd say firstly I'd have to mention John Coltrane, not all his works are in the free jazz genre, it's mainly his works in his Ascension album which is strictly free jazz. Also check out this guy called Sun Ra, he's pretty mad, thought he came from Jupiter or something! His stuff can be way more percussive. Then there's the pianist Cecil Taylor and another saxophonist called Albert Ayler, his tune "Omega is the Alpha" springs to mind. Check them out!

    Nobody is their past. Nobody should be forced to live with past mistakes. You are who you are now, your past is not a part of you but the journey leading up to your current situation. Just because you've done great things in the past doesn't mean you can do bad things now and having done bad things in the past, in no way effects what great things you can start doing now.

    yeh man for sure. Thinking about it, musical voyages are sort of like fractals. You can forever delve deeper into a genre and the deeper you delve the more blurry the lines become between genres. One thing leads to another and before you know it you find you started off listening to hip-hop and are now somehow listening to IDM, or Jazz or Funk or trip-hop.
    We musical discovery voyagers just love music hah.

    I know what you mean. I've been on a musical venture myself recently.
    I'm certainly feeling many of the Jazz artists I've come across. I too have across a genre of jazz called free-jazz. I absolutely love it! I dunno if it's the same as what you call "avant-Jazz" But I'd certainly say that what those free-jazz artists were doing at the time was certainly avant-garde and still is!
