We do not celebrate christmas, easter, lent... it is all pagan like it is new year celebration, birthdays, halloween, 1.11., valentine day, mother and father day, thanksgiving..Did somebody made a research?
Karen, you are loved and accepted whether your belief matches every single one of ours. It is okay. You can waste a lot of time trying to find a perfect church that matches your ideal of what God wants. Or you can accept that a church is full of people who love God, believe in the Resurrection and want to grow in their faith. Jesus was not too pleased with the Pharisees’ and their love of rigid laws. He wanted their love for himself. They missed the joy of knowing Christ but had the joy of criticism. Sister, no church will match everything you want. Do you hear the Gospel preached? Do you feel God’s love from the pulpit? Do the people embrace you? It is getting harder and harder to find that in a church now. I wish God’s blessings for you in abundance.
Karen my love, the death of Yeshua is the start of a NEW Covenant. The Law was given to the Jewish people, we are not Jews and we are not under the law. same as tithing, this was for the OT. in the New we are told to give whatever is laid on our hearts which could be more or less bearing in mind the Lord loves a cheerful giver. Please do not be legalistic my love as this stops you from understanding the Scriptures.
@@margaretgreen1957 interesting you bring up tithing. At our church we believe it is up to the congregation whether they tithe ... But to be a partner of the church you must commit to tithing. Tithing predates the old covenant, throughout Genesis tithing was present. If you choose not to tithe (unsure whether you do by your comment but let's instead refer to Barry who is in that camp) then that is fine in some respects, nothing in the scriptures leads me to believe it will directly affect your salvation (Romans 10:9). However to say we don't need to tithe because it was a rule given to Israel is incorrect, unless you consider Abraham, Cain and Abel and their ilk as under the old covenant.
Thank you, Pastor Skip. May God bless you and all the ears that hear this message from our Lord.
Very good and you explained the scriptures well.
This is so good ❤
thank u for teaching Truth .

I've been in agony and suffering dizziness for over 20 years. Excuse me if I find it hard to be "happy" all the time. !!!
Where does it say "do this often" when reffering to Lord's supper? Nowhere in the bible can I find it.
