@@sonamwangyal5218 nearly every time I see HH Dalai Lama talking with non Buddhists his seat is not elevated. These protocols are meaningful in traditional settings but can distract and alienate non Buddhists in this case at Harvard University from universal themes of Buddhism by seeing the presentation of a person who to them is unknown defined by religious formality. If an important Lama isn’t offered a high seat at a secular event they should not attend? Just my opinion.
