I’ve actually got a 5211 for exactly this reason best acoustic recordings I’ve ever gotten and I’m usually one for more vintage sounds but it is just absolutely unbelievable on piano and acoustic guitar it’s just very open

Shelford channel compressor has a blend knob while Newton does not and also shelford has transformer on input stage while Newton does not

Newton is also fixed 2:1 ratio while Shelford u can change the ratio
