Ok, i gotta be honest...i live in holland, most of the indonesian take aways is anywhere near authentic. Indonesian dishes in the netherlands is basically watered down version of it. In holland we call it indisch, slight different with indonesisch.

I also live in the netherlands but we don’t call it indisch… we also have food from India. So we just call it Indonesian and bc it’s mostly at a toko we say; should we grap something from the toko.

Why there so much Indonesian restaurants ? The Netherlands colonised indonesia for more then 350 year. After the war, a lot of Indonesians came to the Netherlands
