- Transformers Movie History featuring Sideswipe. With his fierce optics focused and Cybertanium blades shining like a blur he leaped into battle slashing ever so closely to vengeance. He was always ready for a challenge. But there are still so many questions regarding his character. How did he get here? And is he still alive? His name was Sideswipe and this is his origin. What's up you guys? My name is RBG and welcome to my new video segment, Transformers Movie Universe History. In a previous episode did a video covering the origins of the menacing Decepticon overlord, Megatron. That video got a huge reception amassing over 500 thousand hits and 5 thousand likes and to that I have to say I'm internally grateful for all of you guy's support. As mention in all my videos that I myself am well aware of the hate the Bay films receive and have to agree that most of it is warranted. But I wanna take you guys on a journey and show you some of the positives this universe has to offer because if we're gonna be honest there are certain characters in the films that don't get their just due. Just a heads up if you haven't seen the movies or read the comic book material used in this video, it will come off a bit spoilerish. So be advised. In today's episode we'll be uncovering the history of the sword wielding speed skater Sideswipe. A pretty cool character who's built quite the cult following in the Bayformers universe, dunno if I can say that about his other incarnations since I wasn't really a fan either way. Like a lot of the secondary Autobots who were literally introduced with no acutal backstory he came off a little 1 dimentional compared to our original robot cast we got in the 1st film. This is evident by the lack of dialogue presented in TF2 and 3. Like you sense that Bay was trying to give the viewers an idea of what each new character's personality is like by projecting it through their dialogue.

SideSwipe is not dead.. Alot of fans thinks he got killed in AOE because the movie shows Ratchet and LeadFoot got killed assuming all autobots died in AOE including SideSwipe.. But in the LAst Knight movie, Top spin makes a couple of appearance alive. Therefore, SideSwipe is alive and chances we may see him in the 6th movie of Transformers.

SilverFroppy roadbuster and topspin were there and I thought we saw sideswipes head with the word slain on one of the cards
no, it's not SideSwipe, its Arcee.. If you rewatch AOE in that part were the cards are shown.. You'll see that picture silver color is slightly pink.. Also those cards showing Autobots X mark on it doesn't mean Cemetery wind killed them, See Ironhide card, who killed him?.. It's Sentinel Prime, not Cemetery wind. Therefore, no evidence that SideSwipe got killed.. Also Cemetery Wind crew killed LeadFoot in a way his face card didn't show with X on it.

Although it's possible. I really hope he isn't dead and I really want him back. Sideswipe sort of played a large role in my life. He made Transformers more enjoyable for me, The Corvette is now my favorite car thanks to him and I was sorta into rollerblading because of Sideswipe's design. Point is I think a Sideswipe is amazing

Yeah Wheeljack was 1 of my faves. I even loved him in TF Prime. Hated how he got offed in the original animate 86 movie.

Some people think of Sideswipe as a replacement for Jazz but I think he’s much more even though he’s not around anymore he’s done great things...
1.Killed sideways
2.Helped in the battle with Crowbar and that other decepticon (forgot the name)
3.And he also helped in the freeway chase
So as you can see he’s much more than you think
We need an origin story video on Mirage/Dino
so sideswipe took forever to take out demolisher while optimus murdered the decepticon within 30 sec.

you should do more of these this was very entertaining and now that ik sideswipe and ironhide was mentor and student it makes me look back at dotm when sideswipe and ironhide had that fight scene together vs the dreads and i wonder if he knew that sentinal killed his mentor and how he reacted or felt if he knew that happened.

but whenever they give any robot a new body, they loose their aggression, idk u understand what i am saying, but i dont want ironhide to change at all. and the gmc, and if they do bring him back he wont have to because the gmc topkick truck was mass produced, so basically i just want ironhide back, exactly the same, cause hound isnt my cup of tea

@@JeffreyJeffreyFLF No. Sideswipe did die, the TFwiki says that he was killed by cemetery wind and to back this up you could his death card in AoE. With that Sideswipe did die in the bay films

I really did like Sideswipe in the movies,and Wheeljack a.k.a. "Wheelie" was an instant favorite of mine in "Transformers Prime".
Wym "a.k.a. wheelie" he's only ever been called wheeljack and que, wheelie is the annoying guy who always rhymes (or the less annoying rc car)
His wheels also gave him 95% disadvantage. He needed to run instantly and stop, climb, fight in closed spaces,fight on slippery surfaces offroad ,and more. He needed feet. Which took away what made him different. To much change and money to his character.

Amazing story I liked how you did the voices and everything, but sunstreaker wasnt in the cannon back story, sunstreaker is sideswipes spark split twin, meaning they cant be separated for very long or that will die, also sunny 10x more agressive and really dosent care about the others.
Again I love how you put cannon facts, but within the facts there wasn't sunny

Such DamnSKILLZ God are you a drama queen. You really let a series ruin an entire franchise for you? Wether you like it or not, the transformer movies actually saved the franchise, not the other way around. The movies introduced transformers to a new generation, and even reminded older fans of the franchise as a whole. And even if all that still isn't enough, then you need to see a therapist so identify what mental disease is plauging your ignorant brain. (Or whatever's left of it considering your conclusion of the bayformer series)

I just watched a Last Knight trailer (I think it said Ultimate Trailer?) and there's a short scene with Grimlock and another bot sliding under his chin. There is no character other than Sideswipe that moves like that. And if Barricade can come back after destruction in the third film, he can too.
