When you're in a relationship you're not obligated to get no one food. I dont know where that confusion came from but its okay to get food for yourself sometimes or if you ask them and they say they DONT want anything, then of course i am not gonna get anything as not trying to waste money to get them something when they said no when i asked.

Personally, as an Asian girl, I'd be down for buying my gf, my friend, etc. a meal if I know I'm about to meet up with them, and I suspect they may be hungry. If they're not hungry, no sweat; they can still have the food, bring it home with them and save it for later. Might not taste as fresh, but it should still be tasty enough. I know I'm not obligated to do this, but it's just funny seeing how different cultures treat food. I know there's a lot of toxic things about being brought up Asian, but food is an honest-to-goodness safe space at least.
