The average hiring number is 500hrs total time and at least 150 hours tailwheel along with 3 years with the company and 2 fire seasons as a patrol pilot! so that’s some goals to shoot for! But thats ours so maybe different else where!
Absolutely there is a huge shortage of SEAT (Single engine air tanker) pilots I think you would have a great chance getting in somewhere and them being willing to train you! The federal side is hurting bad for pilots
