Halfords closed at 8pm and I managed to get the correct tail lamp bulb just in time. In the morning at 5.30 am I had a 300 mile drive north. You bailed me out. Thank you.
Hi Do both reverse lights work on the VW Polo 2013 model as my daughters driverside fitting seems to have a plastic hollow bulb base connection that moves up and down when you place a bulb into the socket but it does not light up and it is different in size to the left side which only works?
O ic in your description you show that the break light and the reversing light are the same bulb 382 P21W on the right side in your video the bulb in your shot is the same as ours but its not the same as the break light whats with that?
Interesting. A couple of parts catalogues I’ve looked at list the 382 P21W as the correct reversing bulb. I wasn’t focussed on that bulb because I was replacing the 5w rear bulb. The plot thickens though as I read on some of the forums that the Polo reversing light is notoriously poor, so people are installing high lumen (500+) 382 LED bulbs or even halogen headlight bulbs in an effort to improve visibility when reversing.
